I wanna be like Daniele today with a French hat. The Mossant Diplomatique from the mid century will fit the bill. Love the understated dimensions of this homburg. My only French hat in the stable. Have to do something about that!

Is that modern or vintage, Richard? I like that stitching on the brim.

I always thought your Marathon looked better than mine. What is the brim width on yours?
I don't know, Bill. I thought yours was looking pretty sweet the other day when you had it on. The brim on mine is 2 3/4".

And what a fine looking French hat it is. Love that sheen on the ribbon.

This early morning a vintage Stetson Beachcomer was my hat of choice for a dog walk.

I like everything about this hat. I am ambivalent about wearing this as I do not want to wear it to an early demise, but it begs to be worn. I shall wear it.

Good Monday morning all! Getting a good start to the week, I hope, with this Stetson Royal Deluxe heathered two-tone. You know what the best part of this hat is? You'd think it's the high quality, malleable, heathered felt.

But, no. Is it that classic blocking and the apparent ability of it to make you look like you've already had 7 cups of coffee?

Nah! Maybe it's the classic RD liner logo?

Nope. The best part about finding, scoring, owning, and wearing this hat?

Eric: an absolutely fine fine hat. A pleasure to behold even if not held.
That ribbon is the nicest most elegant pug i’ve seen. Sometimes understated is by far the greatest statement. Here is a image of it’s opposite you may enjoy, from a very lightweight Knox courtesy of our friend 40Cal.
Be well. Bowen

Bowen; That hat is dynamite! Enjoy it, I really like it! It has everything from vents, lightweight and elegant pug. Wow. Sir you have some really special hats on your hat rack.

Thanks for sharing. Eric -

The specs of the Falcon Park, as close as I can measure, are as follows: front pinch is 4 1/2", back of the crown is 4 5/8, with a healthy 5" elevation near the middle. Ribbon is 2 inches wide. The brim is 2 7/8" with 1/2" matching binding. The crease is basically a teardrop but I've made a point to really squeeze the pinch "carelessly."

It's not a small hat-- not for the weak hearted!

Yep, that's what I had thought.

I have a Dobbs Hanover Square with a 2 3/4" brim that just looks too wide for me, so this FP would be monstrous on my head.

I can ogle yours from a distance, though. haha

Boy, what enjoyable hard work catching up with all the great hats today. I'll have to get to the rest later.

Talk about hat porn! You add bacon to the mix and I start drooling. Nice, and thank you very much...

Great images Fabio. You really stand out in a crowd!

I'm not a western hat person, but I do appreciate a beauty when I see one. Great looking warm outfit.

Beautiful Terry. That color really takes the longhair shine to a new level.

Beautiful Mallory Jim. That ribbon treatment is the best.

Me like!! I don't think I've seen this brand on the lounge before. It is just wonderful!!!

Double the fun! Twin beauty and a joy to behold.

Beautiful David. Great color.

Love this one a lot Doug. I think old copper might be in my future.

Pure class, great finish. Love this one.

Great looking hats coming from you this weekend Stefan. Loved the Mayser color. This homburg is classic. I assume Percy Jones is English?

Wonderful deep brown on this one. Looks like quite substantial felt.
Thanks, Mike. It's indeed English. I'm looking into which one is the most likely maker.

Little sins began in late summer with a French temptation. I thought I had sinned enough to be immune, but it did not

Flechet Qualité Superieure. size 59

Tipe is "Pilote" Impermeable, nuance (color) "Bugey"

The hat is finished, in contrast to some others of the same purchase, the ribbon was wrinkled enough to have still signs
14kxyu1.jpg

It is new, without lining, but with the brand as a tip. Medium-consistency and very malleable felt.

Thanks for the likes and comments on the Borsalino "Uranio"
Buon Lunedì a tutti
Very nice, Daniele. I like that colour. Seems like the French a preference for unlined hats: I see it a lot on French hats.
