I wanna be like Daniele today with a French hat. The Mossant Diplomatique from the mid century will fit the bill. Love the understated dimensions of this homburg. My only French hat in the stable. This early morning a vintage Stetson Beachcomer was my hat of choice for a dog walk.

I like everything about this hat. I am ambivalent about wearing this as I do not want to wear it to an early demise, but it begs to be worn. I shall wear it.

That ribbon is the nicest most elegant pug i’ve seen. Sometimes understated is by far the greatest statement. Here is a image of it’s opposite you may enjoy, from a very lightweight Knox courtesy of our friend 40Cal.

This is the first Borsalino that I purchased and remains one of my favorites. Very light with wafer thin, beautifully finished felt.

Definitely firsts are fav's. Not feather weight, but light weight! Excellent. The hat and coordinated apparel today are sharp. Be well. Eric -

Very nice, Daniele. I like that colour. Seems like the French a preference for unlined hats: I see it a lot on French hats.

Yes Stefano the French seem to have stayed the old way of finishing the inside of the hats. Often only the high-priced hats are finished with the lining. In my collection are more those with a tip in the crown than those lined.

Stetson conversion. I call this my “Joao stingy.” 5 1/2 front as creased! 3 1/2” brim.

A very attractive woman complimented this hat so of course it’s now a favorite. Do women know the power they have over us? Scary.

Yep, Joao may take a second look at that one! That brim will put some shade on your shoes for sure.
