That liner logo seems to be different than most I've seen. I meant earlier than 1950. Sure is a nice one.
I’ve never seen that liner before either. I say 1950s to be on the conservative side. Could very well be earlier. Posted it on Facebook. Kinda hoping moon chimes in.

The temperature dropped ten degrees in a day

So I can wear without problems the French felts arrived two days ago

Flechet without lining that had to be sold in West Berlin, but never reach the destination

Heather felt is soft and very malleable, it is deep grey with some pale grey and blue

As most of the France production of the last fifty years the ribbon is a little bit fancy, but interesting

Have a nice day and thanks for likes and appreciation :)

I think the ribbon makes that a standout lid. It’s awesome.

Heading on up to 85°F today, so I went with a straw again... the same straw I wore yesterday, a fine weave Cuenca body that Mike Miller made into a great hat for me. Had a good panel interview today and I think it went well. Time will tell. I was ready for fall and have all the straws sitting in the back bedroom to put away for the season but these next few days of heat keep them out of their boxes.

Not quite the trouble maker Charlie / @hatsRme is, though, hehehe....

I was wearing a new linen cap today, but I couldn’t resist giving a just received Stetson No. 1 a go. It needs a new ribbon and probably a liner.

I creased it in 30 seconds with it on my head in front of a bathroom mirror. The felt is delightful and not a stiff wester as I was expecting. It’s just a bit tight, but I think I can make it work.

The crown is still damp (dark spots) from where you spritzed it with some distilled water.

I can see why that blue beauty drew some compliments, it puts on quite a show. Lovely heather finish on that Lees.

I didn't read that tweet, but I'm liking his new policy. Packed up my straws this morning, gave up early.

The lines on that Mossant are so classic. Good to see you Christophe.

Great looking parade of beauties Fabio.

Welcome to the Lounge. Tilley Outbacks are welcome here too.

It always amazes me that a straw can last for 75 years. It must have been a high quality Parabuntal to start with and was taken care of. Very nice John.
Thanks, Mike.

Thanks Bill, it is my opinion too. The heather felt has a sort of blur rendition and the textured ribbon gives the plus

Very good looking heather felt, Daniele. You wear it so well.
Thanks Stefan, I have now a complete series of heather felts from France. Some are to be "restored" but it will worth ;)

Took a chance on this on eBay and got lucky. Really sweet felt with one of the smoothest finishes I’ve laid hands on.
Apparently he was a custom hatter in the late 90a early 2000s. There are a couple of short threads on FL
