I was wearing a new linen cap today, but I couldn’t resist giving a just received Stetson No. 1 a go. It needs a new ribbon and probably a liner.

I creased it in 30 seconds with it on my head in front of a bathroom mirror. The felt is delightful and not a stiff wester as I was expecting. It’s just a bit tight, but I think I can make it work.

The crown is still damp (dark spots) from where you spritzed it with some distilled water.

Great to see you back around Charlie. That is a super hat. Whatta color. Great outfit too.

Thanks Bowen. I kind of like it unruly. Then when my hair gets too long and wild, as it is now, it looks fairly kempt in comparison to the hat.

Thanks Red. And the Mayser looks great today. It started out muggy here today and then turned to rain. I had to run to the store so I went with my Opplandske Nor Cap.

I took the rain gear with and made it all of about 3 blocks before I had to pull over and put it on.

Turned out to be an okay ride as I made it to my favorite thrift before the real downpour started.
And now that I'm home I'm sitting here under this Dutch topper that came in the mail today as a gift from Stefan.

Now one of these days I can pull out my tailcoat with the proper headgear.

Thanks,
Michael
Michael:
I think you owe yourself a try at one of these looks....at least once!!
Your Perfecto will be perfect with the topper!

The felt looks to be all that No.1 should be. Are you going TAR? Brim for days.

Wore my recent acquisition tonight for work. Vintage Knox. It’s also my first thin ribbon.

Looking good Bill, great color on you. Love that liner, is this earlier?

From this morning, grey OR.

Just beautiful Roger. As much as I like a SB OR, this light gray is probably my favorite.

VS Wall Street. So happy it’s nice enough I can still wear my denim jacket.

Wow, I can see great potential in this one... although it looks a little too tight for you Brent, maybe the air up in NW Oregon would be better for this one... ;)

Was out hathunting yesterday (don't ask). Took the Brent with me. Got me compliments twice!

Today it was time for some heather. T&W Lees.

I can see why that blue beauty drew some compliments, it puts on quite a show. Lovely heather finish on that Lees.

I didn't read that tweet, but I'm liking his new policy. Packed up my straws this morning, gave up early.

New guy here. It was raining heavy this morning so the old Tilley Outback went on the head. View attachment 137345
Welcome to the Lounge. Tilley Outbacks are welcome here too.

Hey folks!
This Pineapple Moon shirt I scored thrifting yesterday (brand new with tags and spare button even! ) is tough to match a hat to. This WW2 era Parabuntal does as well as any.

It always amazes me that a straw can last for 75 years. It must have been a high quality Parabuntal to start with and was taken care of. Very nice John.

Scarves can be addictive. Great look. I also like that the backgound suggests you're living in a hatshop!

Scarves Scarves AND MORE SCARVES. I don't know how I started but I came across a infinity scarf with a hidden zipper pocket on Etsy then I got deeper into scarves...Turkish, Italian, Mexican Rebozos, Linen. Japanese Cotton. Mind you I lived in NYC most of my life and absolutely HATED scarves until now.

Ok it's settled. A scarf to go with every hat I own.
