A new hat term for my vocabulary Steve. Is it European? Just when you think you've heard them all!

Just perfect Steve. One of the best gray tones ever!
Mike, Thanks! "Camber" was a term used in Germany and Austria (not sure elsewhere) . I can't really see the brim in the photos you posted. Do you have a photo or link to a photo where I can see it more clearly?

Just posted it in the German thread. I still am looking to refine the curl with some steam.

Have a fine Tuesday,
Michael

If it wasn’t for your sharp clothes, I’d say your camera was out of focus - that hat sure looks fuzzy! ;)

Seriously, I always enjoy seeing your hats and the clothing combinations you come up with. It’s obvious you take pride in being a “sharp dressed man”! Thanks for always sharing your photos with us.

Love the Grafton Michael. The little flash of color looks good on this one.
Thanks Red. Yes, I like the little feathers in this one. Haven't been tempted to take them out yet, at least.

Thanks Woodtroll. This is a fuzzy one. And it doesn't like the brush either. Maybe it wants a little hair gel. Ha ha. It will be showing up more as the weather cools down.

Thanks all,
Michael

Welcome to the new WHAYWT world. Great way to make a splash.

I almost forgot about this interesting hat. The history of it was fun to research. Love the gills.

What a wonderful memorial. Time to contemplate.

Fantastic finish Perry.

I really should have fondled that one more before shipping it. Such an incredible hat!

Very nice, classic lines..

A fine piece of history. What was the first year of the Strat? Boeing developed the 307 in the late 1930s.
Thanks Mike.

FINALLY got back here!

Over the weekend we attended an event where a jacket was the decorum.
Hat: Vintage Silhouettes Oxblood. I always check the color in at least two sources of light...

It came directly from the fifties and was sold in Bologna

Proportions are. brim 6 cm., ribbon 3 cm. and crown at 10 cm.

Curious that Qualità Petronius is used for a hat sold in Bologna where the saint of the town is San Petronio (Petronius in latin)

Akubra Traveller. Finally realized this was based off the cattleman shape.

Etsy.com has been amazing for scarves....going crazy with them. Never thought about owning scarves made from anything but wool but MAN was I wrong....linen, silk, cotton you name it. Been ordering from all over the world. I have a few turkish bath towels (ummm scarves) on order.
