No, not original. Actually I picked the ribbon colors. I had Scott tell me when he got the right color hat I wanted. Then I choose ribbons based on the USMC Desert Uniform.

One of the best inspirations for hat colors I've ever seen. Very cool Bill!

Here is a picture of a young man I’ve known almost his whole life. He is hugging his mother on his return from a tour in Afghanistan. It is this uniform I was trying to match color wise.

Today... a new-to-me hat.
I have no idea who made the body for this Tom Campbell "Smile" Hat Shops homburg. It is exceptional and on par with the best hats in my bunch.

I've never seen a hat with elements that scream art deco like this hat.

Tom Campbell's has a fascinating story, too. It engaged in incredibly creative marketing. Because of it's billboard that was there, a hill overlooking Calgary remains named for the establishment.

What a great tribute Bill, brought a tear to my eye. I guess my penchant for dark blue hats recognizes my USAF "bus driver" uniforms of the early 1970s

That Dobbs is just the ticket for a rainy day, looks like it would hold close to a quart in that brim. I dig the colors in that old suit.

Oh gawd, just shoot me now... We are in full remodel mode on our house. The wife is decision challenged at best, and we are off to the "big city" to pick out tile and appliances. I just follow behind and agree...
A good hat for this project is the NW Hats Brent OR Clone refurb. Mike cut the brim width down just a bit to get rid of some moth nibbles and put a whip stitch on for good measure. I can gaze at this detail while nodding in approval of all the different tile choices.

Apologies for my intermittent posting. My days are usually busy, but the pace has picked up of late. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!

Yesterday I got home long enough to head out for a dog walk. A modern Gannon with gills was a perfect hat.

This morning I headed out very early for work in a Best Dressed Head cap.

I went home to walk our dog in another cap, A Cordova Cap. I will shower, change clothes, eat and head out again in the next 30 minutes. Inevitably I will make time to stop for coffee.
