The Deventer bookmarket has been noted. What a place, are there books in many languages?

Late to the game today. That is because I visited the annual Deventer bookmarket today and had to leave early. I believe it is the biggest one of its kind in Europe and I try to go each year. Here's an impression:

And a food pic of my own this time. I had lunch in Deventer. Slow roasted belly pork and roasted carrot, with a cream of sweet potato and a leek mayonnaise topped off with some crispy noodles.

Today's pick is a JC Penney Marathon fedora that had definitely seen better days before it came to me. The color combination of the gold brim edge binding & the pewter six row ribbon hatband sets this one apart from others I have. The leather sweatband was cracked and broken in several places and the lining was falling apart at the seams. Something about this old hat hollered to me to try & save it. I sewed in a new sweatband and liner and happy to have it in my collection.
* I cut the JC Penney label out of old liner and glued it to new liner.

Really hot and muggy week coming up. Time for a hot shirt and a wide brim to hide under. Still havent figured out exactly what this little Stetson is.... a pox on those evil people who remove all the tags! At least it recovered well from arriving in a too-small box

It seems a fantastic day, for northern standard, to visit the books fair in Deventer.
For hats only one winner...this in the picture.
I forgot to mention that I was in Deventer in one of my explorations in the Netherlands, the city is among my favorites with some other small towns on the mainland of the Orange Kingdom - For the strategic iron or masonry bridges I know the recent stories very well , out of films, in real life.
