Thinking about it, much as I like the blue/grey of this Gamble & Gunn bespoke creation, the beautiful blue of Rick's hat would compliment the trouser's that Tina made perfectly.

Im not sure I would have ever thought about a lighter blue of that the Hemp Strat until I saw it in person. It IS striking and I have more than one shirt that will pair with it well! More time goes by Im finding myself more attracted to "other than black, silver and brown"

Safe colours, or as my lady would say, beige, (she uses beige as a catch all phrase, nothing to do with the actual colour,) are not that adventurous. The first time that I wore this straw the lady simply said: "Needs red!" Then made a new hatband. She made the bow tie too. It's an off-cut from a shirt that also came off her sewing machine.

A little bit of Hank!

Earlier version of Hank Williams' "Honky Tonkin'" (1947)

Love that color combo, but the shape and style are just as spectacular. Very nice.

How I concur with others, beautiful shape, fabulous hatband. Tell you what Terry, not only could I give that exquisite hat a good home, that amazing radio that it's sitting on, a device that back in the day we Brits defined it as, a wireless. It would have pride of place, but really, I am just coveting. Wireless 001.JPG
The hat I contrived because of the thread. But the wireless/radio has been in the family since new. I was even told that the announcement that we were at war came through it's speakers. A chilling thought.

Agnoulita Tony. I also found a pair of dark tan Ballin trousers w super 120 wool at a thrift spot. And then I ordered these while I should have been fast asleep. TLB Mallorca. I like the company... good value for the quality.

A few days ago I posted pix of a Panda Fur - like hat by Charles Knox Hatter, made in Canada under license. Today I'm going to post pix of one that looks very similar. This one a Canadian Panda Fur by Biltmore. Both hats are very luxurious to touch. Hard to pick a favorite among them both but I like the color of the Charles Knox fedora as it catches the light better in my opinion.
*last pic is a comparison so you can judge for yourself.
