Can you sense my envy? When is the move? Your Country Club looks great.

After a few weeks of fussing with my Country Club, I took a warm (not hot) iron and a cotton cloth and and reshaped the polypropylene brim. I was afraid I’d melt it but it actually responded great. I love that hat in the summer... and now we’re back to envy.

Thanks DH, I have gotten several good tips on hats from you. I arrive on Kauai New Years Eve wearing a plastic Panama and a Hawaiian shirt. My daughter said it was a real dad outfit, and that I would look like a tourist. I don't care, I'm going to head straight to the beach and go swimming anyway.
Peace!

Thanks Jeff. Easy color to wear. We did not get the big snowfall amounts like your area. The snow, rain and then snow has given us slippery conditions everywhere. I would rather have had big snow. Cold snap should be on us by tonight. Stay warm Jeff.

Thanks sir. I have several different "like" Adams hats from different years and hues. This one is a 50's hat. Some day I need to get a family shot together. Below is a couple of pic from many years ago. Incomplete family pic ( a couple non-gilled hats also shown), but shows some of the variations. I have accumulated a couple more of the gilled hats and really need to make time to gather them in one place.

The poor pic (from early in my forum days)and poor quality does not show the felt hues. New pics are due.

Best, Eric -

I haven't decided if it will be able to make the trip downtown with me today or not. Supposed to be 20+ mph winds.

Have a fine Friday,

The gray of that Stetson really tops off that outfit! Outstanding!

Greetings All:
Today...wishing everyone a Merry Happy in between Holidays day.
Trying out the Stratoliner Vita-Felt of the 40s. Unlined, unreeded, wish it still had the tip sticker.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: as always my appreciation for all the kind words from each of you.
Pss: Santa brought me a gorgeous Sugar White Sugar Plum Stetson Last Drop. Sweet!!
Gorgeous Bowen. Great shots with Willow, made me smile this morning.

Thanks Perry. Great looking Strat for you today. I haven't found one of those yet.

The suit is I think, an early '50s custom number that I'm pretty sure is handwoven Donegal. The sweater vest was made in Scotland. And the coat is an early '40s model. The hat being 1950s. Probably one of my favorite combos for cold weather.

Irish suit, Scottish sweater, American hat. Can't go wrong! I love Donegal tweed.

Great color combo on that Strat Perry. Looking good.

All of your conversions are spectacular Terry. I don't have any problems with narrower brims, but I respect you and Bill for your opinions on this. With the towering straight crowns you produce, I do agree that they kind of need that little extra brim width to balance it out. The 2 1/2" is still a great hat, hell, I'd wear it on a daily basis!
Thank you, buddy! Some people can pull off those 2 1/2 brims really well and look d*mn good in them. It's a great hat for someone who can pull it off better than I can.
