What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I seem to be gravitating toward brown lately.

One of my fave Stetsons, a 3X. Big brim, mode edge, wind trolley, this thing has it all.

I think there may be a feature that makes toast. Still looking.

It is one heck of a beautiful day here in Huntsville, friends!

This fellow I’m wearing today started life as a modern Stetson NY LE, excellent quality. I picked this up at the Stetson Outlet Store a few years ago but found the ribbon work not so excellent and removed it.

First two photos show what it was originally with the shoddy ribbon work. I like the hat best without any ribbon at all inside a slight pencil curl.

This (beaver?) felt is okay. It feels like maybe Akubra tried to do a version of an early 60s Stetson 20 and it turned out kind of cardboardy but also somehow intriguing at the same time.

Good work hat though - 2 3/4 inch brim that doesn’t mind getting wet.

Best to you during the early days of fall/spring, wherever you are!

There’s just nothing like wearing a hat you made, so I’ll only bore you with two pics of that one today, as I’ve been wearing it a ton. But also, for some variety, wearing a bit of my Buckaroo crossover western and silver belly BoP by Weather Hat Co.

Looks great Jeff. Maybe it’s the one to match your signature ;)

I'm not sure what the water is like where he is drinking, but he has really improved his craft in the past 24 months or so! The vintage feel to his hats is second to none. Of course, his older hats are mighty fine hats, too.

My Gannon open crown western is back with Michael for a slight revision, so stay tuned.

Thanks, Randy. Gannon’s westerns are completely different from Northwest’s and Michael is more limited, but what he does he does to near perfection.
