Thanks, Robert. You and Tina were having a great day out by the looks of it. Wonderful!
We had a fabulous day, thank you. It was the UK's hottest day of the year, I really should have donned a straw, but as Tina always jokes: "One has standards, you know."

Resplendent for Sunday service Bill? You never fail for Sunday best.
Looking fabulous as usual, the two of you.
Praise indeed, all I could get out of Tina when I showed her was her customary: "Aw shucks!" Take that as a thank you.

Mayser, Panama Straw Hat with a Stetson feather.
In a hat shop in Leipzig, they have added an extra elastic band, to accommodate the hat size to my correct fit.

Yesterday early evening found me out and about wearing an Adam panama hat.

My morning jaunt was under the brim of a PHD (Panama Hats Direct) fedora. The Havana crease on this Fino works well to keep this lower crowned hat from touching my head. The 2.5" brim is my sweet spot in brim widths. The hat wears light. I will need to put a small sizing strip behind the leather sweat. When I am putting effort in the hat the leather sweat slides down my head and can rest on my ears. The leather gets "slippery."

I have been following the discussions about PHD having "lower crowns" on the Panama thread. I provide the below collage as a showcase how this hat wears on me. My preference is a crown height like the Tropicool open weave below. The different of 1/2" is huge!

The cold brewed coffee with half and half was a treat after the jaunt. I switched to a Tropicool hat. It is labeled to be made from "Imported Visca."

Fantastic all, Stefan, but I do love homburgs and that Fabroc looks amazing!

Stefan, Thank you! As usual a really fantastic array of hats from you. The brim work on the Borsalino "Faunosca" is beyond outstanding. All around Superb!
Thank you, Steve. Much appreciated.
Mayser "Stella Steif Federlicht / Stiff Feather Light" made for Huthase / Hat Hare possibly later 1920s to early 1930s. This is a really fantastic Fur Felt (Haar.filz) Stiff Felt made by Mayser Ulm. I really like the dimensions and form. The sweatband leather is especially comfortable. Huthase had stores in Dresden, Chemnitz, and Leipzig. I found this Stiff Felt back in 2019.

HutHase (Hat Hare) Dresden Chemnitz Leipzig, H. Pohl Leipzig W-31 "Silka Carton D.R.G.N.". This Carton was made for a Stiff Felt or Silk Top Hat so perfect for Mayser "Stella Steif Federlicht", Huthase Stiff Felt. I have a few similar style Cartons so popular in the time period. I found the Carton back in 2017.

Simple but elegant. Very nice.

very Nice, Stefan. Is the binding wider on the underside of the Faunosca…. Or is it a few rows of decorative stitching. Nembo looking quite fresh… and the Stetsonian is a standout!
Thanks, Joe. The first row of stitching is from the binding and de rest are decorative rows of extra stitching. So hardly wider on the underside.

Fabulous; lovely fine weave.

Thanks. It's a thin and "lively" piece of felt. One of those that does whatever I ask of it.

I like your Peters Bros. I have two of theirs, but have wanted a more wider ribbon style like yours for awhile.
Thanks. It’s a great hat. I like the darker color - it’s hard to find that in a good straw.
