Today sunny Sunday with a pleasant temperature to make us the less bitter pill of the new restrictions in force from tomorrow to face the new wave of Covid.
Barbisio Rex 1.jpg

In the garden of my office I thought about wearing an antique Barbisio sold at Max Eckard shop in Berlin
Barbisio Rex 6.jpg

The hat probably survived the Second World War
Lobbia Barbisio - Rex black felt of exquisite workmanship and super elegant finishes
Barbisio Rex 5.jpg
No date printed on the back of the sweatban, alas!
Barbisio Rex 3.jpg
There is only a tiny print that barely reads anything, but it's not a date. The hat arrived, some months ago, from Germany practically new, despite its age.

This is my follow up to Steve update of Huckel pre war hats thread:)
Have a nice Sunday!

That is a Barbisio beauty, Daniele. The autumn sunlight really brings out its qualities.
I bet I'm not the only one who would like to see photos of the liner and sweat band.

That is one great looking Dalton, Randall. I particularly like how the colour of the brim binding contrasts and highlights the dove grey of the felt. What colour is the binding? Looks a kind of peach colour on my screen.

I guess the photo makes it look that way, because in the real it’s a nice color of gold. I’m the only peachy one—seeing’s how I’m from Georgia.

A lobbia fit for a king indeed, Daniele!

Here is my latest. It's a Northwest Hats spiral stitch brim in a "coffee" beaver blend.

Sharp as usual, Bill. You've commissioned some great pieces with wonderful features truly making them your own.
