Seemed like a Gannon kind of day.

Some more wonderful English hats Stefan. Glad you are extending it, I'm ready to see more.....
Thanks, Tim. I'm on it.:)

The second Mallory of the day. This one a Country Club picked up from Bob. He called it a beater and it may well be, but like all beaters it shows it's age through wears and tears along with character and style.

I've been playing around with its form, trying to give it a diamond crease and even a mule kick in the a#s Bowen style.
I think it's not too bad a try, even if I do say so myself :)

Stay well, friends. View attachment 226568 View attachment 226569 View attachment 226570 View attachment 226571 View attachment 226572 View attachment 226573
Very cool looking hat, Steve. It takes the diamond crease extremely well. I feel the mule kick might be a bit much though.

Another Mallory; always good to see those. Nice one, Tim.

Nice spring hat, Brent. I like the look of the finishing on their hats.

View attachment 226638 #10 hat of the day: 40/50s Cavanagh with Cavanagh edge. Glad the work week came to an end. By myself I’m doing fancy trim and eight foot doors in a gargantuan sized new house for a couple that will have one fine home when finished. I can tell ya, hanging 8” X 16’ crown 12’ high is not fun without someone holding the other end! But at least I have no workers who may end up giving me and possibly my parents Covid-19. Gorgeous hat, Randall. A winner.

30 Days to 30 Hats - Day 10
Resistol Western 3X Beaver

View attachment 226640

Silver belly with matching duo cord thin ribbon
5 1/2 inch crown in a cattleman’s crease
4 inch brim
1 5/8 Brown sweatband

One third of the way in on 30 Days to 30 Hats. With yesterday’s presentation of my shortest brim hat... today I figured it would move on to the largest brim hat in my collection. At 4 inches this is some brim and it goes well with its 5 1/2 crown.... though I still think a bit much on my size 7 head. I found this one in a thrift store for $4... so it had to come along.

I'm not one for western hats, Joe. But for $4 I would take it in an instant! Resistol did make some quality hats.

Great pic, Bob. The colour on your hat is splendid. As far as westerns go it's a style I could actually see myself wear. Very cool
Thanks Stefan.

The Battersby is one sweet hat. Good to hear the education has been extended.

Thanks Tim. it's a winner.

Wow, nice Dallas. Wish mine was in that kind of shape.

Thanks,
Michael
Thanks, Michael. Who would have thought detention would get a positive reaction like that!?

Got a package this evening from my eldest, crafty kid. She made masks for all of us, with filter inserts, and guess who got the cool one. Harley’s, skulls, coffins; it’s a theme for me. Anyway, pic one with the youngest, pic two had to go outside and spray the flowers again after it rained. It was super windy today, so I wore the most aerodynamic hat I have. The old Stetson bowler, refurbed by Mr Fawcett. Try and enjoy the weekend people!

Killer mask, Alan. Well done by your daughter! If she can do that, you can have her make some cool liners for your hats as well! Having only boys that's not in the cards for me.

Today's sortie to commune with the great unwashed needed a special look. Double breasted jacket, formal tie and a Dunn & Co. English Bowler from the 1960s. Turned some heads. Even a tweaker chick coming out of the beer isle dropper her cases and saluted me saying "good morning SIR!" Picked up her beer and went on her way. I chuckled. Shopping for the parents was easy, Patty's Easter Dinner list, not so much... 10 pound bone-in ham for two people!

Wonderful to see you again, Mike. Great outfit and the perfect hat to go with it. The church ladies better not faint given the circumstances!

Thanks, the wife wanted lamb, but at 99 cents a pound, a ham was the choice. She wants to make split pea soup by the gallon with the left overs. Not a fan.
Depends on the recipe!

Nice day so far. I hear wind and rain are on the way, with a little snow tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday,

Very nice, Michael. There is something about Knox hats I find very appealing.

Trying to figure out how that bow keeper was done has my mind into meltdown!

Another Knox and another Westlite! Super hat, Robert.

Probably used Justin’s time machine. Hmmm, have we see Justin @splintercellsz lately?
I see him on Facebook every now and then, Brent.
Ed, @Desert dog checked back with me a couple weeks ago. It’s nice to know folks are ok out there.

I was thinking about a thread called “Hat Check(in)” or something where folks could stop in and say hey i’m ok been......or call out to friends and some of old.
Things being as they are it’s good to know how fellow loungers are.
Anyway, be well and safe out there.
Bowen
