I was out in the -6'f (-21 C) weather wearing a 1930 spiral weave fedora. I discovered that this spiral weave is a better warmer weather hat. Brrrr.

Best, Eric -
That's an interesting hat. I like that one.

I decided to wear this classic Bowler from Hersey, out of Plainfield NJ, today. It's an interesting hat that seems to have been made of 2 parts, crown and brim. Thin and stiff. The sweat needs restitching, but it should be easy because the bottom of the crown creates a small ridge to sew through.
The sweat bow was literally hanging by a thread, but appears to have been sewn in in an unusual manner, judging by the remaining scraps of thread and needle holes in the leather.
If anyone else owns one, I'd be curious to see the inside.

I'm making those faces because I put a new case on my phone that makes it really hard to shutter the camera. I think I need to trim the button covers out of it.

Pink Floyd is ALMOST as good without the acid. One of my favorite of all time. Gotta go all the way back to the beginning to really get it though. And not just the Sid stuff (which is fantastic) but even the Screaming Abdabs.

Lucifer Sam from Piper is one of my favorites, and of course Astronomy Domine, but much of their very early stuff is a little too ‘Beatleish’ for me. I think when Gilmour arrived is when they really started going. Barrett was very creative to be sure, but let’s face it, not the best guitarist. Gilmour’s own unique sound and wonderful voice is what I will always associate with the Floyd. Best String Bender of all time....

You have every right to feel that way

Love the look of the Portis, Michael. I do think the front brim needs a bit of work still though; looks like it has been resting on it a bit too long.
Could be, Stefan. I haven't done anything to it yet except give it a quick brushing and start conditioning the sweatband.

Cool hat / jacket combo!!!

Thanks Rodolfo. Love the color, well everything about actually, on your Gannon.

Super, super hat man. Lookin good!
Thank you sir. One of my favorites.

Always love seeing that one Michael. I gotta get me one !!
Thamks Tim. I always love wearing it.

Very, very nice, Michael, and that's one heck of a trench coat!
Thanks H&R. The coat is a Zero King that most likely dates to the late 40s or very early 50s.

Nice hat, Jim.

Thanks all,
Michael
