That's the best birthday to have! Happy birthday! So it’s National Hat Day and MLK’s and my birthday.
Seems like a good day to be wearing one of Mike Moore’s great westerns.

Interesting lesson about the cattle, Randy. Are they raised for the beef market, or more as novelty beeves to preserve the breed?
A suitable hat for working the cattle too.
Thanks! No different than Stetson with all the "Royal" designation.[emoji1]
Actually Dobbs used the Golden Coach designation to market their highest quality fur felt offerings at the time. I don't know if that's the case these days, but back in the period that's what it meant.

Has anyone seen this superhero?
I’ve heard that he spends a lot of time on this forum.

Cannot be a coincidence that there a quite a number of Pink Floyd fans over here. Been a fan for as long as I can remember. After The Wall though their efforts were not as powerful. There just no band that comes close to albums like Meddle, Dark side of the moon, Wish you were here, Animals and The Wall in a row. Waters may be a bit of a d..k, but, man, could he write some awesome music (and lyrics). Seen the Floyd a couple of times and Gilmour and Waters too. Something to remember alright.
Stetson Temple in Mink, not sure if @Bamaboots will approve the shark skin ones
Going to be a Playboy today.
Thank you to all for the likes and compliments on the superhero rendering of our local superhero. Thankfully, for national hat day no one’s hat needed a laser blast from the indomitable Hatman’s umbrella.
Everyone looked great in their celebratorial
lids!

The hat was made with light and malleable felt
View attachment 206473
Unlined and with a single patch inside the crown it is probably a hat from the 1940s or 1950s

No paper label determines the felt color or type.
It's one of my favorites for proportions, but it's just a matter of taste
