What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I always enjoy your backlog at the weekend, Stefan. Super hats all 3. I particularly like the wide ribbon on the Cavanagh and the Brummel's subtle shade of green. Maysers just speak for themselves of course.

Thanks, Steve.
Given the number of hats it's quite the challenge to give them all some head-time (I'm sure you can relate ;))

Stefan, Thank you! A great series of hats from you today. Super to see the Brummel's in action.
Thank you, Steve. The Brummel's has a lot going for it!

You look good under the green hat, Stefan. I think you might need one or two more of them.

Absolutely love that ribbon treatment! I will be doing one of mine like that! Simple to execute, but elegant. The hat is to die for! I love the mono toned fedoras. Good one, Michael!

Looking forward to seeing your work, Randall. It is a nice treatment. I like the monochrome look too, as long as the ribbon has a good sheen.

Thanks all,
Michael

Thanks for the compliments. I may have just the thing for ya buddy. I recently retired one of my Fishers. A 1963 x-101-c. Fully restored and one of the best sounding receivers I’ve ever heard. The soundstage is phenomenal and imaging is downright spooky. Pair of Klipsch’s will do more than fine.

Thanks Alan, but I’m still about 5 years away from my ‘Retirement Project’. It’s going to involve some remodeling for a dedicated 2 channel analog only listening area. The Klipsch Cornwalls are perfect for tubes. Super sensitivity at 101db, so don’t need a lot of power to drive them to ear bleeding levels.

I must say though, the media server approach is very handy. Can access all my music anywhere - all through the house, patio, garage, car, even at the office ! And using FLAC, I don’t sacrifice quality.

All beautiful Stefan, but I really like the color and thin ribbon on thar Brummel’s.
Thanks, Tim. I think the Brummel's going to be well pleased with the likes it's getting.

Thanks, Michael. I've got that covered, but so far they've been locked up:D

Nice one, Héctor. Adam made some fine hats.
Thanks Stefan. It is a good quality hat and it takes water well. We went out last night and it was pouring, the hat did what Adam claims, repelled the water well.

I still have a nice Blue [emoji6] hat that I need to show in the new hat section. It is on deck for an upcoming wedding we are attending.

Hats don't like to be locked up, Stefan. They get cranky and start playing tricks on you.

yes sir, for convenience and decent quality you can’t beat a good DAC and a laptop. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of cornwalls for several years, they are amazing speakers.

You may be older Alan, but you've aged just as well as that wonderful hat. Super shape, wonderful wide ribbon and bow.

Hey, you still look the same Alan !!!

Very kind gents... and appreciated, though my hats are definitely aging slower. At least the new iPhone cameras have better optical resolution and don't have to rely on software to sharpen the photo and accentuate every blemish on my face. Much more forgiving portraits. ;^)

I actually built my own Media Server with 8tb of Storage and a NAS for backup. Running it through a Denon.

Those cords out the front were just temporary, it’s all clean now. I’m OCD about any cords showing, LOL.

A little device that might be worth a look - the EarStudio ES100. I bought one looking for a higher fidelity connection to my in-ear monitors when streaming music from Tidal through my iPhone. It's quite a wonderful little device. I bought a second to connect to my vintage B&O receiver for analog listening. I have Sonos products throughout the house for convenience but in the living room, it is a real listening treat and a very cost effective approach for streaming hifi music to my old B&W speakers.

Well, one of them deserved to be locked up for impersonating a size 7 hat while it clearly wasn't! I don't think the lock-up will make it see the error of its way though:( Incorrigible.
