Great looking hat, Daniele. And great match to the jacket. Perfect combo for some cool weather.

Nice hat and those boots are too cool.

Thanks Tim. Yes, my Grandfather's South Bend watch.

It dates to 1912.

And this chain

Thanks Hector. Sounds like a good part of the country is under high wind warning from one storm or the other.

Thanks all,
Michael
Awesome pocket watch Michael. I'm a pocket watch aficionado myself and always enjoy a good pocket watch picture.

I sometimes carry around an 18 Conductor Waltham and people look at me weird, lol.....I love looking at the time on a pocket watch.

Christy’s Wildfowl for work tonight. This is now the stingiest brim I have at 2 1/4”.

I bailed in Jim because Tapatalk is just so much an easier platform to use than FL itself; at least for me. I find it so cumbersome on my computer. Tapatalk is so easy on my phone. They shook me down and I fell [emoji4]

Like moe, I didn't like the bait and switch.

Did you find a good alternative app for ease of posting pics? Or just going through the forum's built-in software?

Just using the browser on my phone.

Happy Thanksgiving USA folks. Happy Thursday to all others.

I am hosting a dinner for 12 this afternoon. I had an early morning guest - the plumber. Pipe broke in the utility room. Water turned off, mess cleaned and plumber solved all before 8:00am. Sheesh - early guest.

Dog soiree this morning in a Stetson Stratoliner Royal De Luxe. Glorious felt. This minty condition thin ribboned fedora was made and advertised starting April'45. The De Luxe was $12.50 at the time the Stratoliner was $7.50.

Here is an April '45 magazine advertisement. "His feet are on the ground in more than one way." "Youth at any age." "Streamlined as the famous planes it is named after and light as a cloud." Ad copy does not get any better than this vintage text.

Food started and I am making small wood out of big wood in anticipation of gathering around the fire pit later this evening. A late 40's Stetson Playboy was the perfect hat for my efforts.

Tapatalk gave me the shakedown too. I think it is about a buck a month. Figured it was probably worth it with all I used it. Makes the whole process so much more seamless. Especially posting photos.

Best,
Joe

It's not the amount of the fee as much as it is the imposition of the fee and the kneecapping of a previously free (even if it was ad-supported) service. I tend to react negatively to such things even if it means losing the ability to participate in full or part in whatever the service provided.
I know what you mean, John. I was the same at first, but finally gave in. Glad I did.
