Went to the "pub" to meet the wife and her co-workers at the Calapooya Brewing Co. Had a Banger & some incredible fries. Felt that a proper English Bowler was appropriate. This Dunn & Co. gray stiff felt is probably fairly recent in vintage, hard to tell, these guys have made Bowlers for 150 years.

Thanks, Randy. Not too shabby yourself, Steve. Smart looking bowler you have there. Let's keep the bowler parade going!
What an unbelievably beautiful piece!Thank you for your enjoyment and feedback on the Borsalino misto from yesterday. I have another... this in the stately Gorasgu style, in a heather color oddly named after the dogfish (I think). Not sure if wild, or cooked. Made for the American market following WWII.
RIP R. Lee Ermey.
Couldn’t resist a return of this guy.
You know, it’s been exactly 38 years and 4 days since I graduated boot camp on Parris Island. That hat and look on your face brings chills. “By your leave sir!”
RIP R. Lee Ermey.

Brought the Commander to work today. I left the Lost Planet Airmen at home.
Great hat and fab photos, Charlie. A nice way to remember JFK.Trying to catch up here is like shoveling while it's still snowing!
Today is November 22. I always wear this JFK-style Cavanaugh in memory of John.
He DID wear a hat, from time to time!!

I've run out of superlatives for your hats, Alan. Yet another jaw dropping one. The felt on it looks very soft and silky. Wonderful sheen to it, too. Love it.
Hey Hag:Excellent ! Even has the insignia. Was it yours in the military ?
I thought mine was a lighter color when I got it on Goodwill, like a Park Ranger, but when I got it it was olive drab.
