Good Grampa. Good story.Thank you, everyone, for the compliments on the floor. It was a labor of love, but from now on it will be hats not floors when I love on them.
I did get to spend a couple of hours Sunday walking the neighborhood with Abel, Liberty and Molly. They introduced themselves to neighbors who were out, and we had a great leaf fight under a sycamore a block over. Lib and Molly are fraternal twins, but I think Liberty was first at the feeding trough in the womb. Molly wears 18 month clothes at 3 1/2, though the pants are a bit short. Her skinny little butt didn't slow me down at all racing Abel.
The straws I made them last spring have survived. Who knows where they are now, after packing and moving in 2 days, but I'm hoping for a picture of us all in hats before I head home.

Thanks, Stefan. It's staying dark a lot later in the mornings these days. Does that always happen? ha ha. It's nice and sunny now, I may have to put off my photo session until afternoons until next spring. Thanks, Michael. The Champ needs a bit of sunshine to do some shining of itself, but it's still pretty in low light.
A Stetson western from the 1920s in remarkable condition... forgive the oversharing, but I can't help myself.
Ah, goody. It's the season for velour, so time to give them all a spin.Borsalino

Looks good on you Richard. You wear it well & glad to see you enjoying it. The Brewfest looks enjoyable also!Wife and I spent the weekend in Las Vegas, I took only one hat, the Strat I recently got from member Hurricane Jack.

Got the same thing. Tapatalk can pound sand.Tapatalk has been trying to get me to join its VIP scheme for a while. Started by only being allowed to post one photo at a time, now its saying I've posted 10 photos already this month and can't post more unless I pay for the VIP.
The cost is negligible, but just want to hear if any other Loungers have gone through this and are VIP members on Tapatalk?

Happy belated birthday, BB! A nice tip of the hat in rememberance to your mom, too. Hope you made it to the brewpub for a celebration!Legend has it that on this day many years ago a pregnant young woman's water broke. According to legend she then drove her 52 Chevrolet, three on the tree near 30 miles from Gadsden, AL to Anniston where she picked up her best friend and they then headed on to the military hospital at Ft. McClellan where I was born. Thanks, Mom. Miss you.

No forgiveness necessary, Alan. That is one hat worth seeing again and again. Nice find, congrats.
There are no hats in your collection that can be overshared, Alan! Each and every one objects to be marveled at.

I recently picked up a skinny & I had never noticed before the ribbon tails cut to expose tassels. I just figured the owner had done it. Now I notice it on your Churchill. A Stetson No.1Q.View attachment 191744 View attachment 191745 View attachment 191746 Greetings All:

Makes perfect sense. On mine I just thought it was a poor job by the owner cutting the sheath back to expose tassels.I think the singles outer ribbon sheath just shrinks up in time. Just a guess but interesting.
