What a great piece of history Justin. But the steely stare is what makes this image!

Great lines and that brim stitching...priceless.

Very interesting Dave, don't see many Bee Hats in felt. Straws show up on Ebay every once in a while. Love this one!

Stetson 3X Beaver for this weeks shopping trip.

A bit nippy this morning, but should be a nice afternoon. Picking up my car from the shop on the way home from shopping. That will be a painful and wallet lightening stop.

Have a great Thursday,

Love the brim work on this one. I think this is the first mention of you having a car, I thought you just traveled by bike everywhere, you are so healthy looking!

Channeling blue sky with a blue Stetson Bantam this morning. Glorious 38'f sunny morning here in Minnesota. I will need to break out some heavier wool jackets.

Best, Eric -
Just beautiful Eric. You seem to be in a blue mood these past couple of days. Keep it up!

40s Champ that needed deep cleaning with vinegar and then a gas bath. The liner took a good soaking and whitened up a bit, the black marker faded a little, but so did the crest, but i really love a pleated liner.

Some mothing, sweat stiches are popping, but this hat has charm. Wide, 2.75" brim with a lower crown than i usually like but that's ok too. This one has grown on me.

Sometimes these well worn hats are the best. I think they know how to get into your heart, kind of like a stray cat.

My trip to visit Mike Miller yesterday was wonderful. We spent a couple hours catching up. Due to the trials and tribulations of the summer, this new hat will have to go into hibernation. Could not help to spend some time wearing it around the house though. A wonderful Grade 8 Semi-Colado from his weaver in Cuenca. Mike said he only gets a couple of these weaves in a batch. He doesn't even have one! More detailed images will be posted later today in the new hat thread. This one is sure to be a summertime favorite!

So this was last night... But seeing as I'll be wearing it again today... Here ya go.

My latest acquisition Dobbs with guild edge got the call up for our visit to The Barn in Sanford Florida for Garth Brooks #divebartour. I couldn't help thinking my other hats at home feeling like Woody in Toy Story when Buzz arrived!

Oh and the show.... Just the greatest selling solo artist of all time rocking out the Old Stuff with about 900 of his friends in low places!! That all!

He did a fantastic job on shaping and finishing that hat, Mike. These visits must be good for the soul.

I nearly forgot I had one too. The Astrakhan Karakul is another hat ( like the chechia) which is guaranteed, these days, ( while it was very common in Europe in my youth) to get you strange looks because of the immediate association with the Afghani president. I like it very much. A few years ago I spent time in Finland during winter and I wore it there, lots of people told me that I looked like a Russian Officer (!).
