Dark brown Dobbs

Business casual today. Cav edge, 1 7/8" brim Dobbs. Excuse the pocket square; it was mis-behaving.

Hey Jaunty - Very smart outfit. The 'kerchief looks fine to me. I, for one, prefer a more casually stuffed in look than one which is too 'perfect'. Welcome to the Lounge, I'm enjoying your style!

Indy - I always wished I could wear a cap as well as you do. I think I'm too thin for them. They make me look like a mushroom. lol Great look!

Today I wore a Stetson Stallion wool western.

But like CJ I wore my Campdraft today...
hey jauntyone, you need a thin ribbon. :D
Then post us a photo!!! :eusa_clap

Okay, you asked for it. Here's my Stratoliner--er, that is Campdraft. Hey, a fellow can pretend, can't he?

I don't wear it often because it feels like I'm wearing a sombrero. I do like its looks, though.
I've just sent a conformer back to Art and I'm wondering what style to go with. Something like a Whippet, or a Stratoliner-type hat with a slightly narrower (2 5/8") brim.

Maybe lower the front pinch just a little, that may make a big difference in the entire look of the hat.

I think it looks great on you, you just need to get used to such a fine hat. :D

Thanks, RBH. Do you think it will give the hat a more fedora-esque look with a lower front pinch? I had originally bashed it lower, but then went back and raised the pinch a bit because because a taller profile seemed to me to be more in proportion to the wider brim. But now that I've read your advice, I might re-lower the pinch. Always go with your first instinct!

Hi,

Today it was a trials day.

Up to now, I did not wear fedoras with too casual wear, but this meant there was a part of the time, when I like to dress informally, that I went bareheaded... an undesirable situation ;) , so I have started to try out casual hat doctrine, too.

I believe stingies are more appropriate for such a need, so, today I sported a Champ stingy, soft centerdent, soft frontal pinch, with snapped up (or would it be more correct to say unsnapped?) brim.

I liked it. What do you think?

Looks good Torpedo but how does it look with the brim down? Do you have any Newsboys? Might be perfect for those days and you can stuff them in a pocket when you need them out of the way.:D
