We should be so lucky! No matter how good that straw of yours looks: I'm ready for felt weather, Sergej.

Hahaha. My wife asked for me to put my hats in the spare bedroom, but I said I wanted to be able to look at them while in bed, not put them in exile. So we compromised, and I had my hat closet built. I leave the doors open when I am in the bedroom.

You do have me worried sometimes if you're not taking this love of hats a bit too far, Max. I mean, I pet and sniff my hats sometimes, which is weird enough, but I don't take them to the bedroom to do it!:D

Ps: the abstinence was unbearable

You know, I almost said a 40Cal diamond, but with the Moon sell-off I thought that was more likely. 40Cal diamonds are works of art.

lol Max, I have all my seasonal ones on pegs in my closet, then another upstairs closet with the winter / fall hats all in boxes, then my wife says she'd like a few in the guest bedroom as decoration for the Texas Theme. We all gotta be a little bit crazy. ;)

It is wonderful that you have such a nice stable of Panamas. I hear there is an unusual heat wave in Europe. We are breaking records with the temps here.

P. & C. Habig Wien "Spezial Qualität" from 1957. This one is an export model for the Swedish market and in mint condition. It was either factory blocked or shop blocked. The size and position of the side dents are typical of the time period and markets. I have many 1950s era P. & C. Habig Wien Homburgs which were very popular in Germany and Austria.

On the right is Konrad Adenauer first Chancellor of West Germany who was famous for wearing a Homburg Hat during the 1950s. The hat directly below is his Homburg Hat and the prize of the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Hat Museum, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Germany collection.

He wore his Homburg without side dents.

I was able to see the inside of the well worn hat and discovered that it was a P. & C. Habig Wien "Export Qualität" Homburg and not a German made Homburg. The museum was side tracked by the store name "Hellings Bonn, Germany". Adenauer's initials (Dr. K. A.) are on the sweatband.

Came home this afternoon to a package.....woohooo. The Texas Hatter Hi-Roller 100. First off, why do people pack with damn styrofoam peanuts, they went everywhere when I opened the box. :(

I'm not someone who thinks they can tell other people how to conduct themselves, but when you're in bed shouldn't you be looking at your wife? ;)

I didn't get one either; too small for my thick cranium. Besides, as much as I love the hats formerly owned by Anthony, I'm sure I couldn't afford even his worst beater. :(

Nah. She's always looking at her cell phone, and I'm reading the FL, hoping to learn something, or staring at my hats.
I have another batch coming in from Texas this weekend! I think it's about another 16...
