You do have me worried sometimes if you're not taking this love of hats a bit too far, Max. I mean, I pet and sniff my hats sometimes, which is weird enough, but I don't take them to the bedroom to do it!Hahaha. My wife asked for me to put my hats in the spare bedroom, but I said I wanted to be able to look at them while in bed, not put them in exile. So we compromised, and I had my hat closet built. I leave the doors open when I am in the bedroom.

Ps: the abstinence was unbearable
lol Max, I have all my seasonal ones on pegs in my closet, then another upstairs closet with the winter / fall hats all in boxes, then my wife says she'd like a few in the guest bedroom as decoration for the Texas Theme. We all gotta be a little bit crazy.Hahaha. My wife asked for me to put my hats in the spare bedroom, but I said I wanted to be able to look at them while in bed, not put them in exile. Today it’s a Vintage Knox no name. Obviously a very lightweight, unlined summertime sweetie. Unusual in it’s Brand Crest venting and striped pug ribbon.
Stefan, Thank you! Great series of Panamas from you today!Lovely hat in a great colour, Steve. This was clearly meant to be.
Looks like you can get about 6 across the wall above the bed.Yard work this early morning in an old Resistol Westerner, upon coming in the wife says "you know, you should take a few of your old western hats and hang them in the spare bedroom". We call one of our spare bedrooms "The Texas Room". She was right, of course. Hmmmm, I think I see more room above the bed too.....

It is wonderful that you have such a nice stable of Panamas. I hear there is an unusual heat wave in Europe. We are breaking records with the temps here.Actually forgot to post my hat pictures yesterday (heat is getting to me I guess). Here they are.

Wow! Love the museum pics, makes you look like a diplomat.P. & C. Habig Wien "Spezial Qualität" from 1957. This one is an export model for the Swedish market and in mint condition. It was either factory blocked or shop blocked. The size and position of the side dents are typical of the time period and markets. I have many 1950s era P. & C. Habig Wien Homburgs which were very popular in Germany and Austria.
On the right is Konrad Adenauer first Chancellor of West Germany who was famous for wearing a Homburg Hat during the 1950s. The hat directly below is his Homburg Hat and the prize of the Gotisches Haus (Gothic House) Hat Museum, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Germany collection.
He wore his Homburg without side dents.
I was able to see the inside of the well worn hat and discovered that it was a P. & C. Habig Wien "Export Qualität" Homburg and not a German made Homburg. The museum was side tracked by the store name "Hellings Bonn, Germany". Adenauer's initials (Dr. K. A.) are on the sweatband.

I'm not someone who thinks they can tell other people how to conduct themselves, but when you're in bed shouldn't you be looking at your wife?...My wife asked for me to put my hats in the spare bedroom, but I said I wanted to be able to look at them while in bed...
I didn't get one either; too small for my thick cranium. Besides, as much as I love the hats formerly owned by Anthony, I'm sure I couldn't afford even his worst beater....No, i think i’m the only one who didn’t get a Mooney...
Nah. She's always looking at her cell phone, and I'm reading the FL, hoping to learn something, or staring at my hats.I'm not someone who thinks they can tell other people how to conduct themselves, but when you're in bed shouldn't you be looking at your wife?
