Ciao Charlie, yes I know the protection from the sun is a must during summer days, but you know I have not a great feeling with straw hats. Your "musician" hat is fantastic above all the shape

Yes Red they will be my shield in the next days if the weatherman is right.
Have a nice day!

Sergej I have these rare appearances during summer because I use the same straw hats and they are few to show everyday or two, but some surprise will arrive soon :)

Thanks Richard.

It was our faults to denied our partecipation to the World Cup. I did't see so much games during the these days, but now the interesting games start, so I will be more in front of the televesion.
You could make life difficult for today's Brazil, only if you are ordered, careful in defense and you do not want to play facing them on the same level. The counterattack is the best weapon and as Italian is our favorite sword to win even if someone twists his nose saying we are ugly ;)
Listening to classical music on a beautiful afternoon in my balcony. I have to use in-ear headphones to be able to wear my Optimo.

Daniele, I still don't have a vintage Borsalino to wear while hearing this, but I have a couple on the way.

One of the greatest Italian musicians and composers who ever lived, and indisputably the greatest violinist of all time.

I have a confession to make. Yesterday’s Borsa was not the Moca Java but was the two-for-one Twin. It’s hard keeping the kids straight! Ya know.
Today it is the Moca Java.
An appealing attribute i think is how narrow the brim trim ribbon is and how they kept the folded top ribbon in place?? It must be a hidden handshake stitch. It’s the narrowest i have ever seen.
Be well. Bowen
Just perfect Bowen. Borsalino is known for some extra special stitching in places. Mike Miller has gone over some of mine to find them in amazement.

My son, James, got me this new campaign hat for Fathers Day. It was a little tight, so today I finished up stretching it and then reshaping the brim. I'm looking forward to putting this hat to good use on many hiking and backpacking trips with both my sons. When they were little, we spent most of our free time hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, or cross-country skiing. I intend to revisit those days with them, with a couple grandchildren thrown in for good measure, more and more. Life is too short to be "static."

Hope they will be in your taste, but since you are so satisfied with Optimo (The most "Italian" hatter in USA) you will be pleased with Borsalino. Pay attention that Borsalino made millions of hats and they can be of different quality, be patience
I add to Paganini, two others: Giuseppe Tartini, Pietro Antonio Locatelli and not to forget another violin virtuoso the Austrian Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber

Really? Guess I’d better pull that one out of the trade pile then. :(

The association thus far is with this:
kanten-kleedje-wit-diameter-60cm.jpg

Belgian lace (but hat shaped). When growing up these laced cloth things were everywhere, carefully put together and cherished by little old ladies...
It would be the exact opposite of a cool hat, wouldn't it? But let's not be hasty here. They might grow on me yet:)

Thank you to the folks who "liked" and commented on my hats the last few days. I do appreciate and read all the comments. THANKS.

This morning I am out on morning adventures before 6:00am enjoying the relative cool temps. It is a cool 80'f here in Minnesota. I have been wearing a vtg.Stetson Supernatural panama. Ahhh, the gorgeous lines and weave of the straw.

Ahhh, did I say the weave of the straw already? Those lines?
