Alright. One more Dalton. So by popular demand (not really; nobody asked) finishing out Dalton Week 2018 with a black Hommie generously gifted to me by @Michael R.

Enjoy the festival, Michael. Curious, what do you look like in a boater? :D
I'm not much of an expert in boater quality, but I really like the look of some of the fancy weave ones. I only have one in good wearable condition and it has the free floating sweatband. I really like that. There was a discussion of that patent here a month or two ago, but I have forgotten what it was called.

Another great look Michael. Perfect tie and hat combo for a jazz festival. A boater will also make a great statement.
Thanks Red. I'm about ready to kick off on the old bicycle to begin the day's festivities.

Thanks,
Michael

Remind me what a free floating sweatband is?

Another lovely borsalino, Bowen. Keep them coming. The ribbon is done stitching the top first as close to the brim edge as possible so the whole ribbon would lie flat on the brim as it were. Then the ribbon was folded back over on itself to the underside of the brim and in doing so hiding the top stitches.
Hey Stefan:
Ah...that makes perfect sense.
And therein lies why Borsalino is Borsalino.
Detail and class. Thanks man.

Brent i’m thinking you can wear anything and look good in it. That Homy looks right.

Ps: don’t be the “auditor” in that one, be the “banker”. Like Mr. Drysdale.

Thanks, Bowen. As I recall, Mr. Drysdale rocked the stingy most of the time. I don’t think I could pull off Jed’s hat.

I’ll confess that I wasn’t very interested in Homburgs until I started watching David Suchet’s portrayal of Poirot 25 years ago. Strange how such a little thing can make impressions on us.

Ecuadorian supernatural (again)

John Doe panama. I usually don't wear sunglasses under hats (it's what the hat is for), but sometimes the light (or my future) is so bright, I gotta wear shades...

Really liking the Ecuadorian Supernatural. Rich blue ribbon, shirt and pocket square make a great look.

It’s time for some Borsalinos!!
It occured to me i tend to post Stetsons of whatever flavor. I love Stetsons without question.
But i “really” love my Borsas!! and they have their own little area of the place where i can see them always!
So today it’s my “mocha java” that likes a center sorta dent. I believe this one is the first i went “all in” and had to beg for.
Then it all started! Ha
2 5/8” raw edge brim, 1” ribbon, light as a feather, a joy to play with.
Be well. Bowen
A fine hat indeed, Bowen!
