Multi hat day here. Had to run to the grocery for some dinner ingredients and decided to wear the blue Marathon as the Wormser is having a sweatband spa session.

And then while I was out I figured since I was in the vicinity I would stop at my favorite thrift. They had this

A stingy and somewhat moth eaten Panizza Sportsman. What could I do, it matched my Loden coat. Ha ha.

Not exactly sure why they have that pointing dog out duck hunting, but maybe they do it differently in Italy.

Have a fine day,
Michael
I love that Marathon Michael

Hello all. My first post here. My first hat. If I had gone to this forum first I may have held off for a vintage fur felt hat however I didn't and ended up with a wool felt pork pie. I will learn to learn more about old vintage hats from a time when decorum still existed.

Welcome. The hat looks good. Wool hats have their place. I hope you stick around and keep posting; this is a good bunch of guys.

I thought it was a little small when I put it on this morning and I see, sadly, the sweat has done a bit of shrinking and cracking. Dang.

Have a tolerable Monday,
Michael
Hope the spa treatment brings that sweat back to life. I like the brim curl you have there.

Total class!!

Thanks Bowen!

It's a Marathon Monday today:

Love the color and brim work on that. Super ribbon!

Hey everyone!
It's Mayser Monday with this well-traveled Homburg that I got in trade with Stefan.

Love the color and brim curl on that German beauty John. The felt looks yummy too.

Great hats all, today!!!

This furry 1920s Stetson Clear Nutria "Extra Lightweight" velour is my choice for today

The features of this hat are legendary! So wonderful Justin.

The day started in felt: Stetson Royal DeLuxe in Caribou:

The afternoon hit 80 degrees and I was ready to break the rules and wear a “straw” hat before May 15th. Stetson Shantung:

It is really great that you can graduate from a fine felt to a fine straw in a matter of hours. Envy.

The Marathon is one of my favorites Michael. Interesting liner on that fuzzy green stingy, cool hat.

Welcome to The Lounge Will! You sure know how to make an entrance. As others have already said, there's nothing wrong with that hat and it suits you very well! As far as learning about vintage hats goes, you've found one of the best resources on the 'Net for that and the members are usually very generous about sharing whatever information they have. But that rabbit hole goes pretty deep, so you might want to buckle up.

Welcome, Will! Hey it's a start. And if you hang around here long enough, it's nowhere near the finish.

Glad to have you on board.

Good to see you, Will. I hope that you have a blast around here. It's a fun place to learn.
Welcome Will:
Thats a fine first hat! Few have started with a Rolls Royce in hats. I believe we all started with a VW then “escalated”. That’s part of the fun, a growing appreciation of felt and fellowship. Again, welcome and look forward to your “escalations”,
Be well. Bowen
Well said. But for the sake of clarification, my first hat was a Yugo.
