great hat MikeA clear and very cold morning, 34 degrees. At least it is not snowing. Last chance for the Borsalino Gorasgu Misto Grigio "Angora" for the season I suspect. O.P.S price tag, sold in Chicago c.1951.

Great hats all, today!!!
Fantastic lid Justin
I love that Marathon MichaelMulti hat day here. Had to run to the grocery for some dinner ingredients and decided to wear the blue Marathon as the Wormser is having a sweatband spa session.

And then while I was out I figured since I was in the vicinity I would stop at my favorite thrift. They had this

A stingy and somewhat moth eaten Panizza Sportsman. What could I do, it matched my Loden coat. Ha ha.

Not exactly sure why they have that pointing dog out duck hunting, but maybe they do it differently in Italy.
Have a fine day,
Michael
Nothing wrong with a wooly once in a while, that one suits you. WelcomeHello all. My first post here. My first hat. If I had gone to this forum first I may have held off for a vintage fur felt hat however I didn't and ended up with a wool felt pork pie. I will learn to learn more about old vintage hats from a time when decorum still existed.

I thought it was a little small when I put it on this morning and I see, sadly, the sweat has done a bit of shrinking and cracking. Dang.

The features of this hat are legendary! So wonderful Justin.Great hats all, today!!!
This furry 1920s Stetson Clear Nutria "Extra Lightweight" velour is my choice for today
It is really great that you can graduate from a fine felt to a fine straw in a matter of hours. Envy. The day started in felt: Stetson Royal DeLuxe in Caribou:
The afternoon hit 80 degrees and I was ready to break the rules and wear a “straw” hat before May 15th. Stetson Shantung:

Welcome to The Lounge Will! You sure know how to make an entrance. As others have already said, there's nothing wrong with that hat and it suits you very well! As far as learning about vintage hats goes, you've found one of the best resources on the 'Net for that and the members are usually very generous about sharing whatever information they have. But that rabbit hole goes pretty deep, so you might want to buckle up.Hello all. My first post here. My first hat. Finally! Spring just hit Sweden! South of Sweden at least. Which is good enough for me.

Well said. But for the sake of clarification, my first hat was a Yugo.Welcome Will:
Thats a fine first hat! Few have started with a Rolls Royce in hats. I believe we all started with a VW then “escalated”. That’s part of the fun, a growing appreciation of felt and fellowship. Again, welcome and look forward to your “escalations”,
Be well. Bowen
That's a really groovy green.
