The felt on that one looks so smooth and supple. Great tweed today.

LONG week last week -- it was our company's big annual user conference. Since I was "on" all week, I couldn't wear any hats. Now I'm on a much needed week-long break, and I'm returning to form

Monday boardwalk in Blue #8:

Today, a lovely '50's navy blue Stephen L Stetson homburg. I reblocked this one and added a nice, wide maroon ribbon. Unfortunately, the leather fell right apart in my hands when I attempted to examine the tags, so I had to add a new sweat.

Very impressive SLS. Don't see many Homburgs from them. That ribbon is just...you!

The perforations mirror the “Knox Crown”.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Zephyr Seal Velour" probably late 1930s. This one was made for the American market and is in mint condition. Also very difficult to photograph.

JHS Hat Box from the same time period.

Love that velour! It has such a luxurious and plush looking texture and great crown and brim proportions.
