Very cool. Did you just pick up the hat? I recall seeing one listed for sale and the seller had it listed as fur felt.

Clean Panama! I like the color of that snazzy cap as well.

In the continuing effort to expand our base, again I present my oldest grandson. This morning wearing this (his newest) lid BEFORE he even got out of bed.

That is one fantastic Playboy Ant. The perfect crease, as we have come to expect. Question, did this one sell from a company store originally? Is the Chestnut Street address a store or the Stetson headquarters?

Pecan Gannon again

I like the lines of this one, what is the crown height? I'm thinking 5 1/2? Love the bow also.

Hey all!
Schoble Warburton Bowler with a Corneliani tweed today. Don't know how long the tweed will stay on, but it does look nice with a bowler.

Yes, this is one great looking stiff felt. I like the curl of that brim. Nice Moe!

My early Mallory Derby arrived today! I will try and follow that marvelous Schoble Warburton as best I can. Looks great Moe!

My Mallory was in better than I expected condition. Found a cool union trademark under the sweat. The label has the established date as 1823 so it's definitely pre 46' and based on some of the other indicators I am hoping 20s-30s vintage or earlier? I am very new to this early of a hat as I never thought at a 7 5/8 I would ever have the chance at owning one. :) View attachment 81487 View attachment 81488 View attachment 81489 View attachment 81490
Out-fricken-standing Jer! You really scored on this one. The lines are very interesting, brim and crown are really special. I think we are all crazy buying these hats we can't wear in this heat. It was 100 here in Oregon today. I want rain and freezing temperatures!

I do like that Adam, at a buck ninety five, how could you go wrong. I didn't like Vegas when they first came out, but just maybe I could be persuaded...

Left behind. Doesn't fit, but whatever ;)

Good to see ya Harv! I like that ribbon color, is it kind of a steel blue?

Wearing a black felt Jay Lord Hatter out of Manhattan NY—its soft and pliable.
Very nice Samuel. The classic lines of that black beauty suit you well.

thanks Mike
as far as I know it was the Stetson retail store
Pretty sure that building still says John B. Stetson Company out front.

Hi Guys, I have recently completed a ladies hat in Black hare fur felt. it has a 4.5" telescopic crown with a 2.5" straight brim. I have put a vintage 1960 Cotton and Rayon ribbon (coke colour). Let me know your thoughts.

Sorry forgot to mention all my hats are handmade no machine touches them. I hand sew everything on the hat including the leather sweatbands.

One Too Many
this vintage stratoliner is the last hat I'll need.
Been saying that for years....
I have one hundred and something last hats
Well -- he said "need", not "want"
you think I want all these hats ?
To paraphrase Glen Campbell (r.i.p.)

And he needs them more than wants them, and he wants them for all time, and that cat @moontheloon, he's still on the line...
