Thanks for the clarifications. If you see this hat walking around, I'll be under it.
Loved seeing the pics of your collection.
thanks ... I love showing it.
and if you are going to walk around under a hat it may as well be a Strat ... mainly because you can walk around in anything from a suit to jeans and a T under it and look completely appropriate every time.

great color you have there as well

@KarlCrow, and off topic a tad, but on Friday night of last week (August 4) I was up MUCH past my bedtime (having enjoyed a cup of coffee so that I could make the late drive north to our cabin) and caught part of the "Late Late Show" here in the US. There was a stand-in for the regular band leader, and I thought it was YOU. So far, I've not been able to find a photo...

Right you are. When I was looking for a new lid to replace my 30 year old wool cheapie, I was drawn to the strats.
All of a sudden I have about 6 moderns, plus a dozen miscellaneous older things. But this vintage stratoliner is the last hat I'll need. (Yeah right)

we have a 'late late show' here as well, it's been going 60 years, but i can't say I generally watch either the US or Irish versions as I can't abide either current hosts, and haven't led the band on either neither. (-:

might have been a chap that grew up in westport in co. Mayo (i didn't) that people say is lucky enough to have looked like me, may be a musician, dunno, it's been a decade or so since someone accused me of being him or that accused me of being somewhere else. I'd know the name but can't think of it offhand.

Yessir, @Hurricane Jack, that one's a beaoooty!!
Thank you guys!

LOL...Karl, are you saying I don't look new & plush? There's an old saying I first heard my grandpa say one day while my grandma was doctoring me, after I came home with a big gash in my leg: "Testosterone breeds scars." To which I would add that if you don't have much of one you likely don't have the other.
