Hard work... be careful up there. I'm your age. I've done some cedar shingle roofing on the low slope of my back porch, but the rest of the house is way beyond my limits. We did a tear off a few years back. The crew told me that there was no place on our roof where a full 4 x 8 panel of plywood can be laid down. A few pictures:

Now that is something I never seen in my country.
People around here would call it a "castle" like house.

Well the weather is like fulfilling my mood as it started to rain and the days are getting colder and colder again. Coastal line is in orange alert.
Must tame the brim on this one as it still looks weird. JBS pin was in Richard's Stagecoach. Don't know if it will stay there or be moved to the 20x Stetson.

Joao--I don't know if that brim needs to be tamed. I saw a man in Texas last December wearing a black Western similar to yours. The brim was really wild, curled in all directions. It had personality and character, and I thought it looked great.

VS Charcoal thin ribbon.

My hat's probably the smallest one as of recent photos.

The same as my last post, my Jaxon C-crown in pecan. This time it's dressed up a little bit.

(I don't know about you fellas, but the picture is showing up on it's side for me for some odd reason. It isn't originally like that.)

Thanks for the comments on the green Biltmore. I shall leave it as is for now - it looks better in photos than in the mirror...

Perry - I had to make do with a bottle of Guinness original, not the same as draught but not bad ;)

Joao - I agree with Michael, the brim looks good as is.

Michael - nice looking thin ribbon.

Tommy - looks good with that outfit when I turn my head ;)

Joao, that brim is awesome! Super cool. I wouldn't change a thing.
Michael, that VS is beautiful. I love the dimensions on that one. A real classic!
TommyGun, that is a nice looking ensemble!
Andy, that is a sharp VS. Great color!

Working out in the rain today, so it's the pecan Stetson Weekender that I re-ribboned with a vintage 1 3/4" dark brown grosgrain ribbon.

Orangegrad - Great color on that VS. Nice ribbon, too.

1mach1 - Great work on the re-ribboning. Very nice hat. What's the brim size? It looks like it could keep a whole bunch of rain off. But Joao, he could stay dry in a rain storm.

Another beauty, Joao. And stay off the rooves, gents. I've done a bunch of work inside and outside the house, but the roof? Not me.

Today's hats are MUCH better than yesterday! (We get better EVERY day!!!)

Thanks for the great comments and wishes yesterday. Too soon since the last wedding, I will need moral support. Cash, too.

My VS Sahara with 2-1/4" brim...

Thanks, MiamiB! It has a 2 1/2" unfinished brim. It's a great work fedora. It looks so much better with the ribbon than the goofy standard feather/leather buckled band it came with from the factory.

Looking good, Perry, hatsrme, and casechopper!

Great hats today Andy, Perry, Charlie, 1mach1, Sam, Daniele.

It is going to be in the upper 60s but cloudy so I thought I would dust off my linen City Sport newsboy cap today.

Thanks for all the great hat portraits... I look forward to seeing them. Good to meet you Daniele!

This morning, looking for robins in the back yard. I almost always spot one the first day of spring. Like dandelions on my birthday, and 11:11, it's a marker that I notice amidst the distractions around me. I don't think I've ever gone this long without spotting one. Will the dandelions be late this year too?

It just don't look right in the pictures and when I'm looking at it. In the front the brim is a little "up", not as flat as the other Stetson. I need to make it go down.

Joao, that brim is awesome! Super cool. I wouldn't change a thing.
Needs to be reshaped. Need some steam or I might try with distilled water.

Another beauty, Joao.
Thanks.

Stetson 7XCB
Why are 7XCB so good looking even with a stingy brim? Love it :D

Today the Black Hat Wave™ continues. This is the one that started it, the search of the perfect hat, the one that is leading me to bankruptcy...

Enjoy? But you don't like black hats...
The last comment I would like to do about that hat (it stills creeps me out when I think of it but I have to let it go) is that I hope it will not end forever inside a closet or "hated" like your ex-indy conversion.
