Melton today.

Beauty of a hat Al!

Perry, I love your Melton. Thanks for the kind comment today also.

Al, aren't you allowed to wear the straws until September 15? I hope so... such beauties!

Quick photo grab with the board shirt and my PHD Special Reserve, finished by Art F.

Great to see you giving your beautiful Panamas so much noggin time this Summer. Thank you for the kind notes today. I will continue to wear my straws daily until temps dip consistently into the upper fifties, which I hope will be well into September, but one never knows in Minnesota. [huh]

Al, great photos as ever. Your Optimos shines in the sun as diamonds. Truly fantastic hats. Do you shoot photos for Ryan's
Film project?

Many thanks, my friend! I took well over 2,000 still photos yesterday, and operated the main and second-unit camera at various times as well.

delectan, Lovely straw hats, very gorgeous.

Today I wore my Stetson Sportlite hat with a new pair of pants I got off ebay..

Really great look today with a terrific Stetson! Kind thanks for your comments.

I played with the brim a little and am happy with the result.

Tuesday morning

It remains an unusually cool summer in Cleveland. Cool enough for me to wear my felts every day. I may get to wear my Panama this week, and hope to find an afternoon when it will be the right hat for the weather.

This morning I'm wearing my Australia market Akubra Cattleman. One of my lifetime buddies says it makes me look like a park ranger. It is definitely not the style I'd wear every day, but it's a great working hat, and with this brim really keeps the sun off.

The cuff and bracelet are by Tommy Singer. The lapis denim ring made by Ella Cowboy.

P.S. Last night I spoke with Art and placed an order for a VS. More details when it arrives...

Nice hats today everyone! No recent pics since everyday is the same hat for me as long as the Army keeps me on this extended field trip! But I did get to wear my panama optimo on a recent visit home to Texas!

Good afternoon Gents!

Joao Encarnado, always loved the Westerns...definitely looks good on you!

A'n'A, that Cavanagh is one nice lid!

g.durand, that Lee Trinity is one classy hat my friend!

Today on this warm and muggy afternoon from Central Ohio, I added a thin ribbon to my cheap DP woolie experiment hat...
It was one of those "officially Licensed" Indy hats that I reblocked and squared up over a paint can and gave the crown a tighter pinch and center dent. It kind of looks like a cross between an Indy hat and a Stratoliner, kind of). It's 4 inches tall at the front pinch and 4 inches in the back. The highest point of the crown is 5 inches and the brim is 2 3/8 inches wide. I know it's only a cheap woolie but I kinda like it for a knock around hat...

I've been selling the silverbelly OR/Campdraft look to new member xbeatles4x in the 'relatively new to hats' thread and figured I had better put my money where my mouth is.
