Hmm, an one-day a year hat and in felt not straw? Nope. It’s in the classifieds now.
I do it. This is my Oktoberfest hat...

With all respects to Mae West, this hat does prove there is such as too much of a good thing. I like blue hats, but this Agnoulita is a bridge too far...and now I’m mixing my metaphors. I think this will end up on the block if anyone is interested in a size 62 in royal blue.

I look at that hat and think “Dick Tracy” without being Dick Tracy!

I fancy blue, but not that much blue! In the meantime. .

Happy friday loungers. We deserve this break. Today's hat, a museum quality Royal Stetson Deluxe. Because of the $12.50 tag and a tip received in the Stetson liners thread, I'm placing this at late 40s. Finest hat I've ever touched and worn. My phone camera doesn't do this justice.

I keep meaning to get up to Mt. Angel to eat and drink, maybe next year. Gotta get me one of those.

It is very very blue the way it is, Brent. But I do wonder what it would look like with a black ribbon and brim binding (or without any brim binding). That would probably tone it down quite a bit.

A fine, fine hat!! A favorite to pet to be sure!! How wide is your brim on this one? They seem to vary in widths. The color is hard to capture but i called this one Silver.
Bowen

Totally agree that the silvery shine is difficult to photograph. Such a soft- -sorta almost velour— feel to it. The brim is coming in at exactly 2 1/2 inches by my measuring tape.

Nice cool morning for a short mushroom club foray. Nutria Quality returns to the woods.

Last night I was out in the cooler temps in a modern Gannon (silverbelly and charcoal trimmings). When the wind picked up I changed to a cap.

This morning I have been enjoying the cool weather in a Cordova Cap.

Best, Eric -

Each one is spectacular, Eric. I almost forgot I even owned any caps until I saw your post! Looking forward to some cooler weather, but not looking forward to winter!
