With temps rising to 90+ today (again...) I popped on my Dobbs boater c1950. Great shape, it has had a new sweat in it's lifetime, older restoration.

Well after 20 pages, some days at the beach, some time in Spain, a small gathering of American cars and a medieval fair, I'm back. Sorry, same hat.

Appropriate hat for visiting the "General Lee".

Got to visit with Rodney Crowell again Saturday in Memphis.
I was wearing a Buckaroo, Rodney did not have his hat with him.

You can see him in his Buckaroo hatters hat in this video.
A meaningful song he wrote for his late friend Guy Clark.

That is the only hat I am taking to my Wisconsin trip. I will pick up my third hat haul in Chicago before the drive north to Chetek, but I won't wear any of the new hats while fishing!

New to me Optimo Chicago. I bought it on eBay, so I don't know what model it is. I will send these pics to Tiffani. Maybe she can tell me.

It was at 58 cm, so I had to stretch it to 58.7. The color is a sage green, not as dark as it appears in the pics. I didn't think I would like the ribbon and bow from the seller's pictures, but I like it now.

I don't understand why Stefan doesn't like green hats.

Sure, but the temperatures where you are will be, what, in the mid-70s (°F) this week? Come up to the Los Angeles area where we've seen temperatures in the 90°F-100°F range for the last several weeks and sweat for a while; I'm pretty sure your perspective will change.

The walk was magnificent in the cool of the morning and after a few months and despite the heat today I opened two boxes of felt hats

I also enjoyed it because I found a lady along the way who asked me about the panama I was wearing. She had one that was much nicer than mine, but she was fascinated by the pleated ribbon

Weather forecasters say that maybe the weekend will mark the end of the August heat, hopefully because some relief would be useful

Today's panama has been revised and corrected with a new ribbon and sweatband by Fleur of Penumbra hats

A Zorro hat for summer; have to get me one of those! Cool, Michael.

Beautiful morning, having some great Mexican Atole and enjoying my new Scott & Co before it gets too warm to wear.
It was way too large for me when it arrived, but I was able to shrink it to my size with repeated steam applications, and yes, the hairdrier. It didn't lose its shape, and it fits well now. I dislike how padding feels.
