A moist day in Funkytown as well, and I'm lamenting the possible demise of a free outdoor Foghat show tonite.

Weathering the dampness under a Portis of "Sterling" quality. A bit of a smaller profile than I normally wear, but a great thin ribbon with excellent blocking and a fantastic fit and feel.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
FOGHAT!!! My my, they’re still alive! Try not to overdo it! But have fun. Lol
As lovely a Portis as is around, Jim.

I can't wait for the weather to change so I can utilize and enjoy my hats again. In the meantime, I've been working on this one: an Etsy "bargain" that has never truly clicked for me. After finding inspiration in two places ( a biography of Oppenheimer and a pic of my great-great-great grandpa), I think I've finally found the shape it wants to be in .

Next project: I'm going to replace the ribbon and bow. IMG_20180815_110555.jpg IMG_20180815_105155.jpg IMG_20180815_111359.jpg

Keeping with the European Homburg theme in the cool mornings of late. I went ahead and dusted off the Mossant Diplomatique (it was in the same box as the Barbisio from yesterday) for a few errands this morning. Daniele thought this one was quite old, possibly just after WWII. Just something about a Homburg from Europe, great lines and construction. Of course this one came from Remes, on Rue le ba***rd!

Good to see you again Steven! Great looking straw.

Always love the Westlite! The Palladio is a whisper!

All you need now is a black lab with another band like that around his neck! Great!

An all time favorite Michael! That store name is a hoot!

Just perfect!

I absolutely love the color of the Playboy. A sharp look today Jim. You could claim that devil yourself.
Nature's air conditioning today. A marine layer from the Pacific. Wearing my Barbisio Nutria slim brim Homburg to the doctor's office today. This hat has a wonderful hand. It says "Rat Gondin" in the logo, that is French for Nutria.

Thanks, Mike. The Westlite does very well with this kind of weather.
Love the Rat Gondin. I really need one of those, if only for the name! And it's a Barbisio, so two out of two.

Today it’s another Borsalino Featherweight in Bismuto, non-Nutria yet still quite featherweighty.
Un-reeded corrugated sweatband, taped rear seam, very thinly bound brim, 3 cord ribbon. Fairly old i believe.
This was my first Real vintage Borsalino and i’m still happy to wear it.
Be well. Bowen
Well, if you're no longer happy to wear it, just let me know:) That's one fantastic Borsalino, Bowen.

Thanks, Sergej! Nice summer straws on the pair of you today (although the one Simone wears might be considered a roof:)).
