It was a good store name, and is a great hat."Made expressly for The Syndicate" ... damn, that is so cool ... I wish I had one like that
Thanks Red.An all time favorite Michael! That store name is a hoot!
Great looking 'burg, Red. Sounds like you should be able to pick up some Rat Gondin fur cheap in California. I just read they are trying to eradicate them.Nature's air conditioning today. A marine layer from the Pacific. Wearing my Barbisio Nutria slim brim Homburg to the doctor's office today. This hat has a wonderful hand. It says "Rat Gondin" in the logo, that is French for Nutria.

I like the Bismutto gray color. A nice even tone. This is one super hat Bowen, crazy cool!View attachment 131324 View attachment 131325 View attachment 131327 View attachment 131328 View attachment 131329 Greetings All:
Today it’s another Borsalino Featherweight in Bismuto, non-Nutria yet still quite featherweighty.
Un-reeded corrugated sweatband, taped rear seam, very thinly bound brim, 3 cord ribbon. Fairly old i believe.
This was my first Real vintage Borsalino and i’m still happy to wear it.
Be well. Bowen
Simone is under some deep shade with this one! The brim on yours seems shorter in the side views than from straight on. Love them both!Simone in a large Milan (by Esther[emoji41])

Always a joy to see Rodolfo. Is this the darker black cherry, I don't see as much "red" in this one. Maybe it is just the light.Gannon in Dark Black Cherry, the "Dillinger"

Nice rake on that crease. This is a time capsule hat. The onionskin tip protector is pristine on this one. You are a lucky guy.The Borsalino MGL that Bowen sent me. Gorgeous felt!
Just like I imagined it to be. Gracias, Bowen!

I like the lines on that Whitehall. Is it in the catalog today? I'll have to check this one out...Temps shot up fast to nearly 100, switched over to a Stetson Whitehall Milan with a copper pug. Kept the copper theme going today.

I thinks it's still available Red. I picked this one up in San Antonio at Penner's Hat & Clothing store (about $80) a few months back. I'm a pretty solid 7 1/4 but trying them on in the store I had to go to the 7 1/8th as the 1/4 was a tad too big in this model. http://www.stetson.com/store/whitehall-5.html?color=tan-mix
