Missed this one yesterday. Another class hat Greg.

Good to see you Charlie. Classic Milan of Italian heritage. Superb in every way!

OOOOOOooo.... SOMEBODY's paying attention, and really looking closely, Max! LOVE it!

If you are referring to the Photoshop "patch" on the brim just below the bow, I'm impressed, sir!! It's not really a patch, but a bad attempt at hiding a wayward thread which is visible in another shot. Take some comfort in knowing there is NOT a patch required. Had I noticed that thread when I took the shot, it wouldn't have been allowed. Good call, Max!! I need more practice!!

Charlie
Actually, No. When I bought my Optimo Chicago Panama, they didn't send it with the heptagonal silk cloth at the bottom of the inside of the crown, and the straw made my scalp itch a little. When I called Tiffani in Optimo, she called the heptagonal silk a "patch," and mailed one to me all the way to Mexico, with the silk thread needed to sew it to the straw.
My youngest daughter, who is pretty good with a needle, did a really good job placing it, and I can no longer feel the straw.
I had a patch on my Optimo Milan that she studied closely before sewing it on my Panama.

After I saw your last post, I did notice the string, though. Sorry. :)

Here's a pic of my patch.

Berries and more berries. Also some wonderful baked goods.
I miss American pies, and you just reminded me of that, Red. The only way I had of eating authentic American pies in Mexico was my Mom's cooking, but she died about 15 years ago.
So when I go to Chicago I get stuffed on Gino's East Pizza, Chile con Carne, Italian Beef Combo sandwiches, BBQ ribs, corn bread... I am salivating.

Try to keep the running to a minimum, Jim. Good hat.

The rare sighting of Fruno in a straw. A red letter day! Nice Panama.

Thanks guys. Dug this out of the pile; it deserves more head time. It might be the last Panama Bob ever shipped!

You haven't lived until you've eaten fresh Marionberry (an Oregon blackberry) pie!

That and/or Huckleberry pies. There's a little diner in Kalispell, Montana...
