Not crazy hot today so my lightweight Portis New Slant will ride with me to campus. Even though this hat is lined, It is light as a popcorn fart. It should keep the sun off later this afternoon.

My Optimo Panama stays home in the safe. Too valuable to risk damage to.

I grew up in Thousand Oaks. When I’m around the chaparral my whole body just wakes up. The dry heat and salty air near the coast seem to serve my breathing much better than the 90% thick prairie humidity in the high plains.

My $5.95 Marathon today. I paid a bit more than that but it still has the price tag. I can't quite decide brim up or down but that may change by the day. I'm also not really sure about the thin band width and very tempted to put an 1-1/4"ish one on. It's lasted this way for a very long time and it seems almost wrong to change it.
