My favorite spaghetti western.
Finding something like that today would set you back a fistful of dollars.

Too cool Bob. Great hat.Texas Hatters Half-Breed.
Suffice it to say, WOW. What a great color and finish.1930s Dobbs for the rest of the day and into the evening. I'm so grateful that I don't have to be grown up again until Monday.
Looking spiffy Red. Love the '50s tie too.A little late today. Oregon rain has returned for a few days. The Bone Lord's Hat was calling my name this morning. Paired with a 1950s tie. Wish I could find vintage suits in my size (that don't require a 2nd Mortgage).

That’s a great one. I’m still infatuated with their website and from the videos on it, they make the most mouth watering western curls. I have an entry level straw bowler from them, but I’ve often thought about a half breed derby..: hmmmm
I covet that hat,Bob.
Ah, that explains it. Back when I could still exercise properly there were times afterward that I was so exhausted I could barely remember my name.Taking the kids out was right after my workout. I was a little shattered.

I can only echo what's already been said, but a little extra reinforcement never hurts. My Akubras love rain; two of them have been soaked through a couple of times with no ill effects. And while they're wet, it's a good opportunity to refine or change the crease and/or shape of the brim if you want to. As long as you set them aside and allow them to dry on their own at room temperature they'll be just fine. You're right--the primary function of a hat is to protect you from the elements, not the other way around; any hat that can't do that is a hat I have no use for.So, here's the thing: It's been raining like crazy, and I'm still very nervous about wearing a quality hat out in weather like this. So, I took a step backward and donned a hat (cap) that I don't worry about surviving the weather.
Tell me, how do you take an Akubra Campdraft and wear it out in the weather? I keep reading how they stand up and I know that's partly what a hat is designed for, but I still worry about the effects of the weather...
Golly... That thing just glows. What a beaut!
