Still what a hat! I’ve had no luck finding anyone who is able to re-stitch un-reeded sweats. It's one of my favorites , Rick. Unfortunately, the un-reeded sweat is losing its stitching.

For some reason I can't pull off the Pecan color very well. It definitely looks good on you, though. I have a real nice one that Mike Miller made up for me in Pecan. Beaver felt. I've hardly worn it. I can't get pass the color. I'm thinking of trading it off.My first and favorite custom today. Pecan VS.

That's a beautiful hat, Mike. That liner is a wonderful touch. And cravenette is one of my favorite kind of "ette."In keeping with the Derby Bowl 2018 theme today, I submit a 1930s Mallory with the 1823 date in the logo. Had to go out for some more game day supplies, so popped on this old derby. Because, sunshine!

Michael, I like your beard, it gives you an intellectual look, that could be good, or bad, I guess! You are a style setter, not a style follower. My salute to you! Thanks steur. It could use a bit of mousse and a comb out with the blowdryer. ha ha.
Nice looking hat steur. I liked the derby too. Great looks to go with them both.
Thanks Matt. As I recall I got this hat very cheaply because it had a very low BIN, but was listed as in store pickup only. I bid before I noticed that last part. But they shipped it anyway. The model is called Lancelot and the original price was $55. And I see it's listed as a 2 1/2" brim though to me it measures between 2 5/8 and 2 3/4.
I mostly complain about the weather because of the heating bills. I have plenty of clothes that are up to the job of making the outdoors tolerable.
You are styling as usual today. Great photos.
Looks good Red. I need a lined derby to wear in this cold weather. All that I have found so far are unlined.
Thanks Red. Yes, it sounds like he was right.
Thanks D-d. It does match my hair and beard's current dishevelment for sure.
Thanks all,
Michael
Day-um I like the logo in living color. Thanks , Mike. Here's a close up of the liner logo. For a better example of this hat, check out Anthony's post in the "Hat comparisons" thread. He has two of these that are nicer and he takes better pictures!

That may be the best pouty face I have seen since my son was about 3 years old. You have better reason for it than he did, though.Last month my Impala needed a new starter. Yesterday, guess who's car wouldn't start? Yup, and it sounds like the new starter is fouled. At least I hope. Don't need another repair bill right now.
So, this is me, wearing my green Dalton, watching my car go to the dealership, for the second time in less than a month...
Now holed up back in my hovel, making Portuguese chorizo bread (thanks to Joao mentioning it a few days ago), and preparing to put on a pot of chili.
At least I'm stocked up on beer...
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Thanks Matt. I need to take some new detail shots of this one. I've had it for a while, and I now know more of what to look for in dating features. That's a beautiful hat, Mike. That liner is a wonderful touch. And cravenette is one of my favorite kind of "ette."
Man... What a hat!Stetson Eagle Medalist Vita-Felt ( that was a mouthful!) today.

Wicked hat.Stetson No. 1 Quality for services this morning. This has a 3" brim. I'm really liking the wider brims.

Same here , Rick. I know it can be done by hand but I can't imagine that it would come out looking like the original.Still what a hat! I’ve had no luck finding anyone who is able to re-stitch un-reeded sweats.
As will the rest of you...I hope that your antelope is not expensively ill and that by gorging on bread washed down by gallons of beer, your frown will soon be turned upside down.
Nice hat and the sweetest photo of the day.

Thank you, Matt!Man... What a hat!
PERFECTION, Robert.
I thought it looked great on you. What size is it?For some reason I can't pull off the Pecan color very well. It definitely looks good on you, though. Great hats though I like the Mackey best. Great pics too.Yesterday (Saturday) a two hat day.
First I started custom with Mackey Hatters.
After lunch I went to Tagus river south bank, to the Cristo Rei monument. Time and weather were not the best to go up there.
Lisbon seen from there
And a Stagecoach hat.
It's one of my favorites , Rick. Unfortunately, the un-reeded sweat is losing its stitching.

I've got a couple that have the same issue. It pains me terribly when the original parts have to be replaced.Same here , Rick. I know it can be done by hand but I can't imagine that it would come out looking like the original.
Thanks BobGood looking,I like the dimensions.
Thanks Matt, and you, of course, have a great Super Bowler todayI love it when you bust out that hat.
I may try the tape method, Matt. I don't like having hats that I am afraid to wear.I've got a couple that have the same issue. It pains me terribly when the original parts have to be replaced.
I've resorted to carefully placed fabric tape to try to keep the original sweat in one. Seems to work o.k. Though I worry about the possibility of felt damage.
