Looks like we are in for at least 10 days of solidly below average temperatures and heavy snow tomorrow. Oh yay.

Last month my Impala needed a new starter. Yesterday, guess who's car wouldn't start? Yup, and it sounds like the new starter is fouled. At least I hope. Don't need another repair bill right now.

So, this is me, wearing my green Dalton, watching my car go to the dealership, for the second time in less than a month...

Now holed up back in my hovel, making Portuguese chorizo bread (thanks to Joao mentioning it a few days ago), and preparing to put on a pot of chili.

At least I'm stocked up on beer...

The feather and pin make it a totally different hat, Mike. The finish is lovely.
Thanks Stefan, it was a interesting find. I'm happy to be it's caretaker.

Hope everybody's having a great Sunday.

I just love the lines of this hat Richard. I've stolen images for future inspiration for a new custom.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Very appropriate facial expression. At least you're wearing a nice hat.

That is a serious bunny there, Michael. Usually they are more well-coiffured so to speak. Extra fluffiness is good for the cold weather though.
Thanks steur. It could use a bit of mousse and a comb out with the blowdryer. ha ha.

The cold weather called for a longhair today. The choice fell on the Vornehm, which has a finish a bit between a velour and a longhair to be honest.

Nice looking hat steur. I liked the derby too. Great looks to go with them both.

I really, really like that hat. I'd love to find one in my size.

Stay warm. If you can figure out how to do it, feel free to send that winter weather my way. I am envious of you but I'm also sorry that you find it to be a drag.
Thanks Matt. As I recall I got this hat very cheaply because it had a very low BIN, but was listed as in store pickup only. I bid before I noticed that last part. But they shipped it anyway. The model is called Lancelot and the original price was $55. And I see it's listed as a 2 1/2" brim though to me it measures between 2 5/8 and 2 3/4.
I mostly complain about the weather because of the heating bills. I have plenty of clothes that are up to the job of making the outdoors tolerable.

You are styling as usual today. Great photos.

In keeping with the Derby Bowl 2018 theme today, I submit a 1930s Mallory with the 1823 date in the logo. Had to go out for some more game day supplies, so popped on this old derby. Because, sunshine!

Looks good Red. I need a lined derby to wear in this cold weather. All that I have found so far are unlined.

Sorry to hear that the groundhog was right for you guys. That longhair is absolutely the coolest hat EVER!!
Thanks Red. Yes, it sounds like he was right.

Thanks D-d. It does match my hair and beard's current dishevelment for sure.

Thanks all,
Michael

Beer is the most important part of this post. Sorry to hear about the Chevy. Nice hat though.
