That hat is the perfect companion for anything, Eric.Yesterday evening brought more snow shoveling. A Gannon was the perfect companion.
Best, Eric -
That's a good looking hat, Richard. Very nice brim curve.Catalena

The red, white and blue of the Dutch flag (or could it be France, or Luxemburg?). Approved whichever it is.View attachment 105438
6"F this morning;one of Daan's LBF Patriot berets.
Cool hats! Cool images! Very enjoyable Joao.Yesterday (Saturday) a two hat day.
First I started custom with Mackey Hatters.
After lunch I went to Tagus river south bank, to the Cristo Rei monument. Time and weather were not the best to go up there.
Lisbon seen from there
And a Stagecoach hat.
This Penn Craft will be a go-to stingy because of it's finish. I just feels good to grab and toss on for a quick trip. I might look for a more orange and black feather (colors of my Alma Mater) at some point. The feather and pin make it a totally different hat, Mike. The finish is lovely.
Very nice, Matt. I've noticed before that the bowler was the go-to hat for a great many people in the past. The image has a nice Magritte-like quality to it.Thanks Stefan.
After reading your comment, I again read this great primer on the construction of the classic stiff felt. http://thehattedprofessor.bowershats.com/2010/07/?m=1
The D'orsay curl is one of my favorite things in all of hatdom. And the subtle variations from hat to hat are simply wonderful.
The elegant art deco look of the form makes it one of my favorites with which to mess around in photo shop. Just for self-indulgent giggles, here's this one from a couple of years ago (along with the original of the photo that provided the background).
Thanks, Jeff.
And yeah... the conditions on the lake were disturbingly beautiful and serene.
It took me a while to figure out that "leg" in your comment was likely an autocorrect mess-up of "lake". I spent a couple minutes racking my brain to figure out if a "leg" was a part of a hat that I had never heard of or forgotten.
That old Bowler is a real head turner Stefan. I'm sure you got a lot of glances by the non-hatted public.Haven't decided yet for today, but yesterday I had to give the Negretti a try.

That is a serious bunny there, Michael. Usually they are more well-coiffured so to speak. Extra fluffiness is good for the cold weather though.A dusting of snow overnight and a few flakes still drifting down. Charles Knox longhair

Looks like we are in for at least 10 days of solidly below average temperatures and heavy snow tomorrow. Oh yay.

It was only a short walk, Mike. I still feel a bit self-conscious wearing one I admit. That old Bowler is a real head turner Stefan. I'm sure you got a lot of glances by the non-hatted public.
One fine Derby Matt. Is it 1920s or earlier? That panorama of the lake is stunning. You have the eye, my friend.I had not yet seen Stefan's yesterday hat when I picked this '30s Crofut & Knapp, Knapp-Felt.
Thanks for all of the kind words about yesterday's Knox.
Enjoy the game (if you are into that).
I also post a "P.S." shot, just because. Yesterday, the boy and I went out to the Great Dismissal Swamp for some fun. Lake Drummond is one of only two natural lakes in Virginia. It was as still as glass.
Beautiful hat for such a strenuous job Eric. Mmmmmmm Gills!Yesterday evening brought more snow shoveling. A Gannon was the perfect companion.

+1 loved these images. I might have stolen them...Thanks Stefan.

Totally agree with that perfection. Is that the natural undyed color?

Dude... rest assured... you wear the bowler well.It was only a short walk, Mike. I still feel a bit self-conscious wearing one I admit.
Thanks very much, Mike. One fine Derby Matt. Is it 1920s or earlier? That panorama of the lake is stunning. You have the eye, my friend.
Thanks again Mike. It's enough for me that I get a kick out of making them. But it's icing on the cake that others find them diggable.+1 loved these images. I might have stolen them...
Thanks Stefan!Enjoy the sun and your straw, John. Sun is out here too (for the first time in months so it seems), which means the temperature drops below zero C. Time for the longhairs over here.
