My eyes aren't doing so great either, 65! I had to go look at it. Raw edge but three rows of concentric stitchingVery attractive heather. The edge looks raw to my dying eyes and it looks good.
Spent the morning detailing my wife's car (it is still all about her, have to work on that...) and out for grocery run. For Thin Ribbon Thursday I chose my Knox-o-liner. A Knox Premier Strat clone from the mid 50s. Knox did not put "tails" on the ribbon, only a simple thin band. Still counts, right?

Hey folks!
Despite what Fruno may say, no baby seals were harmed in the making of this 50's Tonak Seal Velour.
Now, I won't even try to claim that no European Hares were harmed...
Have a great day!

This is the hat I wish I was wearing today...But I must have been naughty this year, because the gift I got for Christmas was The shingles.Spend Christmas day and night in the hospital, first ever.I have it on my head my face and right eye.The bad part is I can not put on a hat it hurts my head.I now have to leave the house feeling naked.Hope everyone else is doing better than me.
Tonak "Mongol" probably early 1960s. I pulled this one out because of the frigid temperatures. It was made for the Soviet Union market. Very nice Velour with decent components for the time period / market. Some nicks to the ribbon.

Question on creasing. Paperwork from Hatsdirect said to bash sides first than crown. I've never done it that way, always done the crown first. Any opinions, is one way easier than the other?

Sorry to hear that DM! I had the shingles on my torso from lateral line around to lateral line. Had pain for 7 months! Goo luck to you! I would advise anyone who falls in the demographics to get the shot before it's too late!

I can't think of a better Christmas gift. I don't envy the sleep deprivation that you are in for, though.
