What a beauty. I'm not talking about the hat this time.My oldest custom from Art witnessed the arrival.

Get well man, that doesn't sound like funThis is the hat I wish I was wearing today...But I must have been naughty this year, because the gift I got for Christmas was The shingles.Spend Christmas day and night in the hospital, first ever.I have it on my head my face and right eye.The bad part is I can not put on a hat it hurts my head.I now have to leave the house feeling naked.Hope everyone else is doing better than me.
See, I lack the vocabulary to even talk about western hats.
You haven't been reading properly the western thread...Okay, I'll give it a while and then consider using my new rounding jack to change the brim.
Until today, I've never even heard of a "shovel" shape.
Perry is right. If you grow up wearing Westerns like many on here, it's not a big change. However, if you're new to hats and Westerns in particular it can be a little intimidating, especially for the larger brimmed Westerns.
the long hair looks great Stefan.
Nice hat, nice shirt. Sadly we can't see much of the boots.Stetson
Beautiful. The colors, beautiful!Vita Felt Eagle

Thanks for all of the kind words about the unfortunate events concerning our cat, Shadow (and of course, those about my hat, too). He did make the journey to his eternal reward, yesterday. So, hopefully he is now having a wonderful time at the great scratching post in the sky.
I'm having a Thursday under a Stetson Royal DeLuxe that was converted from a homburg.
Yippee.
Have a fun day, all. View attachment 99872 View attachment 99873 View attachment 99874 View attachment 99875 View attachment 99876 View attachment 99877
Thanks for the comments and likes on yesterday’s VS. That hat was inspired by Eric’s (SBG) collection of Adam and VS Executive style hats.
Today back to the classics - Open Road 7X Clear Beaver.
Cheers! David

After a calm Christmas with weighting for food and drink, here we are on a gray and rainy day waiting for New Year.
Verona is almost deserted except for tourists.
Morning walk with a Carlton that was very little worn
Carlton Chapeau de luxe. Made for A. Meer Strasbourg
Nuance "Auburn" in brown felt with matching ribbon and curled brim of the same color
It came directly from the forties, it was part of my purchase in the town of Rhein
Brims are at 6.5 cm. and crown at 12.5 cm.
It is one of my beloved homburg, I'm jealous to show it
Good day to all and thank you for your appreciation last week
Have a nice day
