I've yet to find a straw that I truly enjoy ... I own many and love none ... this one and the hat that @Rogera wore yesterday would definitely scratch that itch

It's a Milan day here in hot humid northern Illinois. Introducing the new Dobbs courtesy of the fine folks at Hats-Plus. Switched out the brown for the black silk ribbon. Hats-Plus rocks!! I do like Hats Plus as well. Got a few Canadian Biltmores from them and an Italian "Guerra Brand" too.

My 100% Black Cotton Porkpie arrived this morning; having to put styrofoam behind the sweatband to make it fit didn't make me very happy.

Any suggestions as to how I can make it shrink a bit without destroying the hat's structure?

Hard to give advice without more info, and since you have an aversion to photos, that makes it more difficult. Is it sized, or a S. M, L type of hat? Does it have a leather or cloth sweatband? What brand is it?

For all of those who are interested. This is a panama, but I'm always on the look out for finer weaves and other fine straws.

When it hits 87 this afternoon I will probably be giving the pith helmet a work out, but for this nice morning I decided on a couple of hours of Royal Open Road,

I freaked out when I saw that photo, but it turned out to be some sort of seeds that had fallen on the brim.

Absolutely gorgeous morning in Funkytown today. It's supposed to be in the high 80s today in a preview of summer. I thought it would be a great day to pull out the Dalt-O-Liner.
