I really like that one, Michael. It's unique with the alternating colors of straw. Nice!In honor of Straw Hat Day and since it is straw hat weather today, this much faded Ecua-Andino Panama,

Hope your Monday is going as well as can be expected,

Great semi-colado, Bob. Who made that one?View attachment 74545
Semi colado today.
Ah, the famous Tankersly model Milan! Excellent specs, Jim!Straw Hat Day. I spent some time yesterday rotating some felts into boxes and freeing up space for getting a few straws out. I still primarily wear felt in the summer, but some of my straws get some heavy head time, as well.
Kicking off the season with my Peters Brothers Milan namesake hat.

Its not marked.I got it from Panama Bob several years ago.Great semi-colado, Bob. Who made that one?
Not a bad hat, at all, to be stuck in, Charlie!View attachment 74560 View attachment 74561 View attachment 74562
Straining, strongly struggling straight for a stream of Straw, but not to be on this really rainy & raw STRAW HAT DAY. So here, for the premier (of the season) I'm stuck in a Knox Premier.
Beautiful hat, congrats. The pictures of the fourth hat came from Holland, Eu exchange, were made at the end of last week.
It would be too hot now!
Mayser in medium gray
The hat is pretty new. The line is fantastic
Finish in an excellent way and the felt is on par with the production of high quality
My thanks go to Stefan who is able to find hats of great quality that have, happy, a passionate beyond the Alps
With this super Mayser the season of felt ends.
Buon Lunedì!
Fantastic Borsalino! You look great in it.View attachment 74563 1950s Borsalino, my precious.

This is from yesterday when we went out for dinner with my mom. Wearing my Akubra Drover with my alden 405's and a sheraton sports jacket.
Looks like we're both well hatted with NW Hats, today! That's a nice one!Too cool for a straw today. Wearing a NW Hats, instead.

Thanks Fed!Lookin' super sharp today (as usual), Perry! Love the hat AND the tie!
Hey, at least you admit to recycling old photos from yer archives.I can't keep up with the great hats! These are older file pics from a couple of months ago, but I grabbed the NW Hats pecan beaver felt fedora this morning. 5-3/4" open crown with a dimensional brim at 2-5/8" front and back, 2-1/2" on the sides.
.
Sweet lid, and I love the ribbon.Because I didn't know it was stray hat day and the fact that I don't own a straw hat (yet), I went with this Stetson XXXXX because the ribbon matches my slacks flawlessly. Hahahahaha.

Super Sharp, Red! Super Sharp!Happy Straw Day to all, whether you can wear them or not today! First half of the day here will be cool and clear, so one of my favorite straws will see the sunshine. This Dobbs Milan is early 60s, fits like a custom and is super soft. It is the brown version of the golf hat of James Bond in Goldfinger, or at least I tell myself that...

You sure look good in that boater!Wearing a circa 1920s Italian straw boater made in Firenze (Florence) for National Straw Hat Day:
Such a wonderful hat, Alan. Do you take possession of the hat as-is, or did someone do the work for you?I am only half ready to switch to straw.
Note the similarity to the label posted by Roger from his Knox 20 genuine panama... the purchase of Dunlap by Knox was announced in an August 1919 issue of the American Hatter.
That would be a full-boat colado, I expect...I was ignorant about today being straw hat day.
Happily, I have with me this peculiar $3 hat that I found at the antique mall Saturday. It demanded that I purchase it.
Oh yeah... Good reading for the day about the 1922 Straw Hat Riots in NYC: http://mentalfloss.com/article/61755/straw-hat-riots-1922
As good a reason to riot as any, I suppose.
+2Beautiful Daniele!
