So many of you enjoy the fruits of your labours in the garden, thank you all for your kind compliments, it's much appreciated. This Strat look-a-like is the work of one of Belgium's finest. She's such a talent, and for all you green fingered Loungers, the shrub behind me in full bloom is a Rowan, it has a poignant piquancy that I will share with you one day, when the pain has subsided.

Rainy morning found me running to the butcher and liquor stores in a Gannon (Green Moss).

Back home grilling lamb for an afternoon repast. Wearing my no-mname vtg. Stetson fedora. I consider this hat being close to the much sought Wanderer. Imbibing a Founders Breakfast Stout.

Yard chores after eats. Wearing my current fav hat, vtg. Stetson De Luxe Stratoliner.

I hope you all are enjoying the weekend. Best, Eric -
They are all beauties Eric. But that Strat! Wow, the sweat looks absolutely new. The color is perfect. Envy, covet.

Great looking creation from Esther. Love the shirt with all the Golden Era airplanes.

A nice day in the Pacific Northwest. Not quite straw weather yet. So my lightest felt gets the nod once again. This Royale De Luxe Stetson has no model name, like Eric's but it is ultra lightweight. I'll have to get the letter scale out for verification. It is but a whisper of a hat, I think I'll name it "Poot".

Nice looking hat Red. I could use a couple of lightweights like that in several colors. It's approaching straw weather here today, but I see our 10 day forecast is clear sailing for felt. Whoopee.

It's looking pretty nice around here, too, Red. I love that Royal Deluxe! Haven't been out yet, but we plan to take a walk downtown for lunch.

You are a true artist! Ever think of doing these as a "business". I'd pay good money for one of your conversions.
Thanks, Red. I would be more than happy to do a conversion for you. My only hold back, though, is the lack of tools and materials I need, various sizes of hat blocks, various brim flanges, ribbons, sweat bands, etc., and the $$$ to buy them. It gets frustrating knowing what I can accomplish but not having the tools and funds to get there. All I have are a couple of wooden blocks, one of which I'm not sure if it will work for a 7 1/4, a couple of plastic hat shapers, one slight roll brim flange for a 2 3/4 brim, a toliker, a puller downer,...That's about it for now. No where near enough to do custom conversions for people who are either larger or smaller than a 7 1/4 and who would want a flanged brim that is either more narrow or wider than a 2 3/4.

It was perfect for our sunshine today. I may just break the rules and wear a Milan to the house warming we are going to in a while. Shhhhhh, the hat police are everywhere! The walls have ears (Poking out from under a bowler...).:)
