A brilliant recipe for life, Rodolfo! I did something similar in 2001. Lost 56 pounds and stopped taking multiple medications. Started working out 5 - 6 times a week... then got married, got a new job.... and let "life" get into the equation as an excuse. Thanks for the inspiration and the reminder. If I did it before, I can do it again. I just have to be more deliberate as I'm pushing 57 now, not 41. I've lost the same 10-15 pounds over and over... time to make it permanent. Down from 230 to 222 this week just by cutting out the garbage.
Good my friend, you've been there, done that, time to do it it again.

We need to have Doug for a long time !!

Get well, you need to wear your hats in good health.

Best regards.

Taupe fawn Camp Draft for me (see avatar). I'm a new guy and a bit of a Luddite so I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet. This TFCD is my go to hat most days unless it's raining when my beat up Silver Belly comes out. Sorry for the poor quality of picture.

Welcome to the party, Mark. Nice CD. You'll get the hang of photos soon.

Sunny and cold today. Running errands in my Akubra Fedora.

Such gorgeous felt. I love your hat! So it's a clone, or a Stetson you bashed to look like a Strat/OR?
Fed, it is a vintage Stetson. It originally was Joshbru's hat; he sold it to Frussell for his wife. It wasn't her style. I happened to luck across 2 vintage Strats locally in tiny sizes just right for his kids, and he bought them and as a thank-you sold me this one at a very low price. It was already shaped as you see it. It's the one hat I have which seems to go with casual jeans, shirt, and boots, or dress slacks, shirt, and topcoat!

The sweatband says only Royal De Luxe, just like that, 3 words, and the liner has the beaver & eagle logo. Joshbru thought it might date from about 1960.

I wore it down to Meyer the Hatter one day while shopping for a straw. Mr. Sam, the family patriarch, took me aside and asked where I got it, and I simply said, "The Internet."

He nodded. "Haven't seen one like that in years. Wish we could get ones like that. You got a bargain."

That's a great story for a fantastic hat. The universe aligned itself to get you that lid!

Seven degrees with a wind that makes it a bit more than that on the negative side of zero. Shearling Lamb.

No sauna, man! You are the best dressed, warmest man in town Michael. Fabulous look! I can see why you get the compliments.

You are the biggest advocate for the oft-maligned derbies, bowlers and Homburgs.... and you wear them with such style and boldness. My hat's off to you, sir!
Thanks, Doug. That's very kind of you to say. It was style rockers and regular posters like @mayserwegener, @casechopper and @alanfgag who convinced me to stop worrying and love the derby and homburg.

It's great to see more folks like @blueAZNmonkey and @moehawk and others feel the love for either or both of those great and versatile styles, too. I think that we should start a charitable foundation: "The International Society for the Appreciation of Derbies, Bowlers and Homburgs"... The "ISADBH" (pronunced "eye-sad-buh"). ;)

I hope that you feel better. Back pain and the other physical obstacles you have been dealing with SUCK.

From across the country I send you a hearty "BE WELL!!!". :)

Take it easy.
