Nice to see a bit of a shorter brim. Looks very well balanced all around. Thanks Michael!!
2 3/8" brim, 5 1/4" crown as creased.
The jacket is from Wested Leather.
Stunning pic !!! Love the hair and sweater !!! And the hat is not bad at all
In my family, being called a weirdo is actually an honor.Well... first I admitted that I am a weirdo (which I generally always assume is patently obvious, anyway) and that I collect vintage hats.
I then explained that a bunch of folks (NOT WEIRDOS, though [each of you has the right to determine that about yourself. Far be it for me to judge[emoji6] ]) who collect and/or make and enjoy hats, post pictures and discuss them on the Lounge. So it's like a fellowship (which is exactly what it is, right?).
It made sense to her. She even offered to take my picture. Sweet lady...
Grazie mille Daniele.Molto bello il cappello e stupenda la fotografia+modella!
Complimenti!
Thanks you Jim.Very nice blue, Esther. Have a great day!
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Thank you Matt.Whoa!!!
Stunning!!! The effect of the ribbon on that blue is an eyeball smacker. Super lovely.
Awww!There are no words.
So he actually owns a coat?Wellema
Thx Michael.As usual, JUST WOW.
Another great outfit to pair with another obscure branded hat. Looks good.
Nice hat. I just looked at the forecast for here and I see I have to change my hat wearing plans. Wind gusts to 45 mph by the time I will be going out this morning. I don't really want to test a wind trolly that much.
Fantastic. What more can I say? Fantastic.
Loving that Vita-Felt. And I see it is laughing off the rain.
Michael
Thank you Rick.Love it!
Love the hat and the outfit, Perry! Especially like that buffalo plaid tie! Wow!
Good to see you Dave!
That's a great NYEEE outfit there Mark!
I hate getting caught taking selfies but that's a good story and you could not pick a better hat to wear! Just a fantastic hat.
Love it Harv! Must be cold there. You are finally wearing a jacket!
Thanks! I really like it but that Mallory of yours is just killer!
Nice one Anthony! Is that a new addition?
Thanks Chas.He took the words right out of my mouth!! WICKED molto bello @EstherWeis!
Thank you RJRGreat colors,Esther.

Yeah... I think of myself as a freak, too.
The problem with using that language in polite (and impolite for that matter) company is that folks sometimes start looking to see if I have a hunchback or deceased conjoined twin attached somewhere. On the other hand, weirdo doesn't carry the same risk of stirring up antiquated and unfortunate prejudices against people who might have physical differences from most other folks.
Now this is a HAT!Foul weather here, I reached for my go to foul weather hat. This old Fray Boss Raw Edge has been kicking around for a century or so... I think it can take anything a Buffalo winter has to dish out. A purchase from our young friend Justin Seagraves who had a nice nose for old hats.
Awww!
Wait, in a good way right?
So he actually owns a coat?
You know I love that hat.
IT IS pretty neat!! In my case it gives me the incentive to change hats and make more of an effort with the way I look instead of letting life drag me down. You're looking greatStarting to rain.
Premier Vita-Felt for the occasion. View attachment 63837 View attachment 63838 View attachment 63839 View attachment 63840 View attachment 63841 View attachment 63842 View attachment 63843
I'm at the courthouse this morning and a city worker picking up garbage inquired about what I was doing. I explained the Fedora Lounge to her. She thought it was pretty neat. That's nice. Especially, since it is pretty neat.
Have a marvelous day. [emoji111]
Looking elegant!!We're having a New Year's Eve Eve Eve celebration at the office today to help add some levity to a rather stressful time. Figured I'd celebrate in style.
Put on my tux and donned my R. Hecht topper to join in the festivities.
Glamorous!!
Wow Daniele!! Sending hats from Italy to the US for restoration? That's some serious commitment! Where did you get a better restauration, Italy or the US?This Borsalino along with some others arrived in Verona from Turin in not so good conditions.
I sent it in USA at Black Sheep Hat Works for a restoration. Some others went to Cappelleria Melegari in Milan for the same aim
It needed a new ribbon and sweatband.
The hat had not shape. It came back with these dents and I let them in position because I like it.
You can easily shape it in another way as most of the Italians hats.
Great hat, great look!!I just can't keep up with all the posts and fine hats, caps, etc...
I went with the dark navy Disney today. I had to mix it up a little. Even I was getting bored with my hat choices!
Hi Steve. My memory is not THAT bad (yet), I was actually asking about the white ribbon on the leather sweatband, wondering if it was just decorative or if it awarded some level of size adjustment.Cristina, Thank you! The stitch is to protect the ribbon and bow prior to sale. I think Mayser might still do it but it was common when this hat was made. From what I was told it should be removed but I see them on hats that were worn. This is a New Old Stock (NOS) Hat so never sold.
Sorry I didn't read it clearly. This specific one is decorative but they were originally functional. Here is an example.IT IS pretty neat!! In my case it gives me the incentive to change hats and make more of an effort with the way I look instead of letting life drag me down. You're looking great
