Happy Wednesday and Thanksgiving eve to those in the U.S. Spoke to my friend last night. While he could not reply verbally, the nurse says he was able to give the thumbs up. That's cool. Thanks for all the good vibes.

Gonna bide my time in the office today working and thinking about things I'm grateful for while listening to very loud Grateful Dead live from 02/18/71. Then the family and I drive to my folks' house.

Crofut & Knapp Forty circa '50s, Cavanagh edge. A few years back Bond did a lovely job choosing and replacing the ribbon and wind trolley. Thanks, Bond.

That's an incredible hat, Matt! I haven't seen many C & K hats. Yours is a very fine example.

Ya got it all wrong... It's called being classically elegant. Very nice.

I really had to screw up my courage to (a) order a hat from the other side of the world, and (b) to bash it myself. All this was before I'd joined the Lounge, you understand. The Nicole Kidman movie Australia had just come out, and in searching for a hat like the man's hat she wears in the cattle drive scenes, I fetched up here. But the hat fit well and still does with a little padding, and the bashing went easily.

Very wise choice. That Moonstone is such a great color!

I love that hat.

It reminds me a lot of my brown Vita-Felt. Especially, the way the sunlight effects (or is affects? I confuse the two) the ribbon. You bash much better than I, though. Always a treat to see.
